The Most Anticipated Games of 2010: 360/PS3/Wii

Gamer Limit writes: "2010 has already started with a bang. Bayonetta and Darksiders hit us like a frying pan to the face, and the list of upcoming titles for this year will undoubtedly have fanboys screaming harder than Nick Simberg at a Nickelback concert.

So what are we waiting for? Let's get stuck into the most anticipated games of 2010 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii."

Gow 3 was bashed in this article. Saying it doesn't deserve most anticipated game of 2010. The only games I can think of that rivals Gow 3 are Halo Reach and GT5. Where's Halo Reach? I think Gow 3 is fine for most anticipated game for 2010 from Spike.

WildArmed5211d ago (Edited 5211d ago )

'Spike TV awarded God of War III the mantel of Most Anticipated Game of 2010, which leads me to believe that Spike TV have no idea about anything whatsoever.'

lol Obviously he doesn't have any idea about anything whatsoever either xD

no Halo reach = fail

AcesAndEights5211d ago

How does no Halo Reach equal a fail? There are a lot of gamers out there who don't really care either way regarding that game. Halo has become so saturated that it isn't worth it. For any response of "it has a shallow, meaningless and vapid storyline" "oh, you have to read the novels" I don't want to, I want my game to be good, not the fluff that comes along with milking me for every penny.
Halo Wars was interesting for its take on a console RTS, and did well on that, but wasn't that great really.
Bungie, please, new franchise.

WildArmed5210d ago (Edited 5210d ago )

yes no halo reach = fail
That is MS's BIGGEST franchised, and if you dont think it's not one of the most anticipated games of '10, then you need to rexamine your sources

Oh and I'm by no means a halo fan.. I hated halo 2/3/ODST for the most part.. (except the firefight)
But Halo is adored by million of fans, and to neglect them is kinda stupid >.<
note: Halo Wars credits doesnt goto Bungie

"Technically the fifth chapter in the series"

ummm
GOW1
GOW2
GOW3
and GOW:COO (PSP)
im i missing any thing else ??

ico925210d ago (Edited 5210d ago )

god of war betrayal it was some random mobile phone game, it was actually pretty cool, check it out if your a GOW fan

anyways my most anticipated game in TLG i've always been a huge fan of team ico games.

Raf1k15210d ago

That's just silly. Whether or not a person thinks a game deserves to be anticipated is completely irrelevant since it's the number of people anticipating a game that shows how anticipated it is.

Bashing a game in a list like this because of personal preference is just unprofessional.

Also, 'it will be interesting to see just how good the title looks, especially after the success of Bayonetta'. What does Bayonetta's success have anything to do with GoW3s looks?

BYE5210d ago

The picture in the article is from Yakuza Kenzan, not 3...

qwertyuiopasdfghjkl5210d ago

About GOW3 - "it will be interesting to see just how good the title looks, especially after the success of Bayonetta."

A. It looks ****ing amazing already, the demo has been out for awhile and kicks so much ass, I'm suprised gamers haven't gone blind!

B. Bayonetta has some of the coolest combos I've ever seen. Aside from that, the game is complete garbage, ESPECIALLY on the PS3...

FreeFalling5210d ago

Yes,it does equal a fail. A solid sequel to the Halo universe whose previous solid installment sold well over 11 million copies to a userbase of 30 million, a game that is still the top most online played game of the year after about 2 1/2 years after it's release... I'd say that is more anticipated than lets say, The Grinder on the Wii, don't you think?

You said Halo doesn't appeal to everyone. Well, it sure appeals to a heck of alot of people. Your comment could be said for any game on that list, GoW3, GT5, SC: C, Me2... so please, stop trying to act smart. I'd say Mass Effect 2, Halo: Reach, GoW 3, Fable 3, Alan Wake, and Heavy Rain are my most anticipated titles of 2010.

Saaking5210d ago

I'm seriously getting tired of hearing comparison to the overhyped bayonetta. The ONLY reason anyone even mentions that game is becuase it was superior on the 360. Had it looked the same, it would have come and gone just like Darksiders did. GoWIII cannot be compared to Bayonetta. They're two VERY different games and GOWIII will be miles better since it's PS3 exclusive.

Solidus187-SCMilk5210d ago (Edited 5210d ago )

but im surprised they left halo reach of a most anticipated list. Interesting failure right there.

Redempteur5210d ago (Edited 5210d ago )

weird article...
if anything it showed a clear lack of accurate information since many (too many screenshot aren't up to date or are from previous installments )

-i don't think splinter cell ocnviction is looking like this anymore
-i'm pretty sure the pictures for god of war is from 1 or 2 .
-yakuza 3 screenshot is off ( what use is to show a screenshot from kenzan ? they're not the same game)
-the picture from mario galaxy is from the first opus
-the screenshot for red steel is from the first game too

was that so hard to use accurate screenshots ???...all of these game have many HD screenshots on the seb that you can find within seconds with google ..

this is lazy work ...

I'm looking forward to Alan Wake and Heavy Rain. Seem like fun games.

life doomer5211d ago

Is there anyone who is exited for monster hunter 3?

TheGameLlama5211d ago

The Japanese are! Isn't it like the highest-rated/one of the most bestselling games of all Wii time over there? I'd never heard of The Grinder before this article, however...

syvergy5211d ago

I agree with this whole list.

2010 is gonna be a great year for games

Zelda Replay: Majora's Mask

VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Is Ocarina of Time as legendary as I remembered it? For the most part, yes. In spite of a handful of missteps — a few obtuse puzzles, some tedious backtracking, and a clunky stealth sequence — I don't believe the last 23 years have been unkind to it. Ocarina remains a brilliant example of the medium, a landmark game that shaped the future of its own franchise and 3D gaming in general. After more than two decades it retains its inventive dungeon design, challenging puzzles, dynamic combat, wistful storyline, unforgettable music, and empowering open-air freedom. I feel confident calling it one of the greatest games of the fifth generation, even if I'm no longer prepared to list it among the five best games ever made."

Pure unadulterated fun. They don't make them like this anymore...especially not the triple A industry.

FinalFantasyFanatic1d 5h ago

Back when video rental was a thing, I rented out Majoria's Mask, I never finished it though. I did buy the 3DS version before the eshop shutdown, so maybe one day I'll finally play through the whole thing, it's amazing how well these games hold up though. I briefly played Ocarina of Time for a while and it was really fun.

Ar Tonelico Qoga: Knell Of Ar Ciel Retro Review – Love Conquers All

Gary Green said: You’ll be forgiven if you haven’t heard of the Ar Tonelico trilogy. The previous two games arrived so late in the PS2’s life-cycle that they simply went unnoticed. While most were tinkering with their shiny new PS3s, Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia and Ar Tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica were being ‘returned to sender’ by your local Game stores. Luckily, you won’t need to have played them to understand and appreciate this third and final chapter, Qoga (pronounced k-yoga) tells the story of a racial war between humans and Reyvateils, a breed of biologically produced female cyborgs capable of reproduction, while still having a digital mind.

Oh my god. I kinda wish this would get a remaster on PS5, it would be awesome. One of my favorite games on PS3.

That and 3D Dot Game Heroes. It's a shame that some stuff is stuck on PS3.

Knightofelemia3d ago

Ar Tonelico 3 is good I still prefer the first AT game. The music is solid in all the games and Akiko Shikata is a very talented singer bringing life to the game. Only annoying part is well I find is Saki I always choose Finnel or Tyria. KOEI so needs to HD remaster the franchise along with Ar Nosurge and Ciel Nosurge since it never came to North America. I would day one the Ar Toneliceo games and Ar Nosurge if they were remastered.

TheColbertinator3d ago

I still have the limited edition of Qoga unopened. Unfortunately it never went up in value like I had hoped all these years.

Used to own all these quirky JRPG on ps3 good times. Wish I would have kept them all

Pacific Rim Pinball comes to Pinball FX

This could be fun as they make great tables. Go big or go extinct. Prime your senses for a neural handshake and step into the cockpit of a Jaeger. It is on you to cancel the apocalypse when Pacific Rim Pinball comes to Pinball FX on May 16.
