awesome violent video games
blue dragon and viva pinata should be on the top 5 list and halo 3 should be off the list

Saaking5255d ago (Edited 5255d ago )

I'd put Fable II a little higher. Yes, it was overhyped, but I really enjoyed it and still play it once in a while. It's an awesome game.

And while a lot of people liked Crackdown, I just couldn't get into it which is why I didn't bother buying it. I'm looking at Crackdown 2, but right now I don't really care about it much.

And what's wrong with violent videogames?

Saaking5255d ago

My guess is he/she is an his/her early teens and associates violence with being cool. For some reason, young people seem to believe that if a game doesn't have extreme gore and blood it's for kiddies. You get what I'm saying?

multipayer5255d ago

He/She could think they're beyond cool, or get easily spooked and don't want to admit thats why they prefer adorable games?

I would scratch out the turn 10 game and put any Rare game in its place though. Even viva pinata. Assuming a blood=candy mod was applied... birthing pinatas has never been so real...

Mr Logic5255d ago

One thing not everyone notices. All those games, except for Forza, are rated M.

SilentNegotiator5255d ago

....but they don't even give an honorable mention to Dead Rising?

Fail.

WildArmed5254d ago

eh, I dont think Crackdown belongs up there imo. Fable II could go higher. Halo 3 can be dropped a spot or two. Gears would be easily no. 1 for me followed by fable II.

Then I'd put in Lost Odyssey right after fable II. followed by halo 3 and forza 3 (even though I dont like racers at all, i bet this is a pretty good game)

GTA: Episodes and PGR4 not on list = Fail.

monkey6025255d ago

Yeah I'd choose PGR over Forza too. Granted I havent played Forza 3 but I liked PGR4 a lot more than I liked Forza 2.
The customisation of cars was awesome though

WildArmed5254d ago

well they were on the honorable mentions.

SahFriendly5255d ago

"You won’t find a better exclusive RPG on the Xbox 360 than Fable II."

Um, Mass Effect?

I'm a fan of crackdown, but really?

List should have been.

5. Fable 2

4. Left 4 Dead

3. Gears of War 2

2. Mass Effect

1. Halo 3

Saaking5255d ago (Edited 5255d ago )

ME isn't exclusive though and while your list is good, this is a list about 360 Exclusives, not multiplats.

RageKage145255d ago

Left 4 Dead and Mass Effect are not Xbox 360 exclusives.

Kittenz5255d ago

Since people not playing it on 360 are probably playing on a PC with an MS operating system, either way you're supporting MS.

Cajun Chicken5255d ago

You kidding? Crackdown is my fav game on the 360.

Saaking5255d ago

@ Kittenz

Come on man, we've been over this many times already. MS doesn't get royalties from the PC version therefore no, we're not supporting MS.

I mean, what if I said:

"Mass Effect is PC exclusive"

Does that sound right to you?

5255d ago
WildArmed5254d ago

yeah I was in shock for a bit not to see mass effect.. the best game i've played on 360.
But then i realized its for 360 exclusives.

Doesn't seem to be that bad of a month. Got a bit of something for everyone.

Please do not support braid anniversary edition. Don't support Phil phish, he's a very despicable person, a a cry baby.

One example

Wrong developer. Phil Phish was the developer behind Fez.

Jonathan Blow was behind Braid. If you're gonna cancel culture, don't take down the wrong indie...

TimeShift - FPS Game Standing the Test of Time

TimeShift had a fairly muted launch in 2007, and while it doesn't rewrite the FPS rulebook it does offer an enjoyable campaign even now.

gurp12h ago

I played this on PC when it came out, it was actually good

Astrokis11h ago

Same! For its time I liked it a lot

PrinceOfAnger10h ago

It's a good game need a new one.

CantThinkOfAUsername9h ago

Never heard of this game until someone mentioned it here last year. Played it and it basically represents most games from the PS3/Xbox360 era—good graphics, amazing physics, and extremely fun gameplay (time powers rock), but barely any story, weird pacing, and at least one annoying AF level. I finished Prototype last week and the same applies, except Strike Teams. Fuck Strike Teams.

I miss when ganes used to experiment with physics and world interaction

Pacific Rim Pinball comes to Pinball FX

This could be fun as they make great tables. Go big or go extinct. Prime your senses for a neural handshake and step into the cockpit of a Jaeger. It is on you to cancel the apocalypse when Pacific Rim Pinball comes to Pinball FX on May 16.
