naa i just have a pc which i upgraded about a year back and a ps3.

360games cost 75usd here too. i dont havea 360 cause i think the 360 sucks prod lol. when i went to buy the ps3 i looked at the 360 as well. the very piece the shop keeper wanted to show me wouldnt run cause it had prod issues.. also here the micosoft warranty isnt valid, so there is no where to turn to if the xbox fails. imo which happens quite often.

so i buy most games on pc. exclusives on the ps3.

me and my friends just got borderlands on pc for 33usd each.. same with l4d2.

thats less then half the price for a console game here.. 33usd vs 75usd urrgg.

thats a 84usd saving for me just on 2 games, thats abit too much.

I'm all for buying a game on the PC rather than either console, as the tech, etc is better. (Though I now have my gaming rig collecting dust as I buy games for my PS360, as I know a lot more people on them.) But people that have high priced games, why not just order them online? o_O

buying online doesnt really save that much.

it costs 59usd for the game plus shipping charges to ship internationally can be around 10-15usd

so its back to 75usd per game :(

so yea.. steam works out to be the best solution for me.

I often try to wait for deals to buy games. Either Buy one (or two) and get one free, or a nice sale.

I waited a long time for a nice sale before buying a 360 and now enjoy buying their best titles for dirt cheap. Between $10 and $20 usd for Crackdown, Gears, Lost Oddessy, Dead Rising, and Mass Effect.

And waited for the Wii to finally drop to $200 before picking it up.

The only games that I recall paying full price for this year were Infamous, Demon's Souls, and Uncharted 2 - all day one purchases.

And I still haven't played U2 yet :(

like i mentioned before importing a game from the usa to here costs 10-15usd... and you can expect a week atleast before you get it.

so the games on steam cost me 35-49usd.. and i dont have to wait for the games to arrive, plus the prices just are more resonable asids the fact that multiplats just run better on the pc.

i need a pc for work anyways.. making it gaming enabled just cost me like 180usd a year back.

so like i said i use my ps3 for its exclusives even though i have to pay a premium for those exclusives they are too good to miss.

It's true, Major Nelson is a 360 fanboy. But who cares, he loves what he does, he's entertaining, and he supports the 360 community. Saying he's a 360 fanboy isn't a bad thing.

And is it not out of the realm of possibility that Major Nelson could think Uncharted 2 might be one of the greatest games he's ever played? Regardless of what everyone thinks, we will never know what he really thinks anyway.

I bet if Major Nelson worked for Sony, he would be just as enthusiastic about the PS3 as he is for the 360.

Main reason to play online is FPS, MMO which I can't with controller. I tried Killzone2 and I suck at it online. I even bought Frag FX and it is very sluggish. I gotta have mouse and keyboard. I wouldn't even use PS3 online but I pay nothing extra for it.

I didn't get Live until last month and got it for the $40 deal. IMO, the best part of owning a 360 is going online. Which is a blessing and a curse. It's a blessing because you get the full experience for what a 360 offers if you go online, it's a curse because you gotta pay that price.

So offline 360 owners, unless all you play is single player games, you're missing out. (Well... except you won't miss the 12 year old girly voiced kids, but you get my point from a gamer perspective)

What does it have? it's had a couple of hits this year, few and far apart (Killzone & Uncharted 2), played through them great games no doubt, but then what? the occasional Blu-Ray movie.

Xbox 360 still remains console king, with it running Multi-Platforms better, Multi-Plats look better on the 360 and of course any multi-player components are superior on the 360, and when Multi-Plats make up well over 90% of all games released....

I'm also annoyed my the misconception that the 360 has no games this year? it has some pretty big exclusive titles..

And the difference between PS3 and 360 multiplats is minimal at best and extremely exaggerated. Reading that type of comment, you make it seem as if it's unplayable on PS3. Stop acting like 360 multiplats are receiving some type of unique and exclusive gameplay experience when the experience is essentially the same on PS3.

The most unique and best games a console can offer are exclusive, not multiplat. They can take an advantage of what a system has to offer without worrying about getting it to run another. There's not much to say about this, the games speak for themselves.

For anyone who listens to Major Nelson's podcasts you would know that he's not a fanboy at all.

In fact, I highly suggest that everyone download and listen to his latest podcast because he actually congratulates Sony on how the PS3 is climbing in sales since the Slim came out and he touches base on Uncharted 2 a little too.

Just because he works for Microsoft doesn't meant that he can't play other systems. He's even said that he owns most, if not all, of the current systems.

Ok, I got nothing against HHG but I think he should take that comment and listen to it again. Major Nelson did not say the PS3 is collecting dust. He said he'd be happy when he came to your place (I'm guess HHG's place) and saw the PS3 off with dust on it. (paraphrasing a bit, but it's way closer than the title of this article is). He wants the 360's lineup to be good enough to cause a Sony fans PS3 to collect dust. Nothing bad and that brings me to my next point.

I think everyone here is pretty smart. We all can look at the two systems and just go by the numbers and facts. There is a very clear winner here and yes one is on a higher level. One offers so much more with far more reliability as well. One has been around for 15 years and is the King of all video gaming console systems in sells numbers. We can all see it is capable of far more than anything on the market to date.

We don't need to list the AAA games anymore. We don't need to list all the features, advanced format drive, included Wi-Fi and free online play. We don't need to say anymore the possibilities and the potential one has over the other with it's standard format that it comes with in blu-ray. We don't need to list last years GOTY games and this years GOTY games and what system has them. We all know what they are.

We all knows this. We don't need to list one's failure rate anymore, or it's DVD format, no standard Wi-Fi. For we are all gamers and have been around long enough to see this. We can have both consoles and be gamers, sure. But if anyone really had to pick. Then it's pretty clear were most everyone would go.
