You better hope Natal comes with some sort of vibration. After all the whining bots made about sixaxis not having vibration, and how it couldn't possibly be a "next gen controller". All of a sudden Natal comes along without vibration... that would just be complete hilarity, watching the bots squirm and backtrack yet again.

I always thought the vest was cool tech but price is always an issue, and I can't imagine that being cheap. And lets say Natal did incorporate a vest with a bundle or whatever, I wouldn't want a half ass vest, just so they could keep the cost down. So if price is right, and the vest is right, I think it would be great.

edit some more: eh keep changing my mind, If they did bring out a vest I think it would be for both consoles also.

first thing comes to mind is something wrong.
but forgetting that, how would this work? i honestly think its possible but not with Natal. Not this Gen or the next. I beleive it will be possible some day to actually do this. But im just saying how with Natal? other then a addon that you can put on, i don't see this possible. This never came to me, Rumbles adds to the experience of the game, and i forgot Natal didn't have that. Played operation flash point and i love how when you run your heart beats up and the rumble start to beat up as if it was the heart it self. Very awesome what it can do.

However, i dont see that coming with Natal, its still too early in development.

It will be possible in the future, the technology to transport vibration trough the air is still in early development, but since Natal will be out by the end of 2010, i dont see vibration coming with natal.

Perhaps it will come with the successor of Natal.

I saw a video about handsfree vibrations, it features air pressure trough sound waves, but theres still a lot of development to do on it.

Maybe one day it will be possible, can't see Natal having vibration unless there's a peripheral working with it in tandem and even then it probably won't be the Natal camera dealing with telling the peripheral to vibrate.

PS3's wand thingy should for Sony. Cause motion controlled games with way better graphics and storys than anything ever seen on Wii to this date, I think would be great for 360/PS3 to capitalize on Nintendos severe lack of putting out worth playing games, good graphics, and superior motion controls!

and about the vibration for Natal. I could be done. I remember wayyyy back in the day when Mortal Kombat came out on Sega, they had a thing it looked like a backpack for your chest and back... that let you feel hits. Seriously look it up, it's out there. I could see something in the vein of that, but more practicle... and it could still remain handsfree stuff unlike people are saying. Hell, I even remember the ring device you could put on the floor for Mortal Kombat on Sega, where it detected your body movements for your punches and kicks... kinda crazy how long ago into my gaming as a kid that I've already seen stuff like this being attempted, lol!

Eyetoy and Natal are not the same. PS Eyetoy had some basic facial detection, like: lip and eye movement. Natal knows who you are when you walk into the room. Eyetoy can track you moving some parts of the body as a gesture. Natal tracks any and all parts of the body, and can track the speed of the movement in any direction (it can tell wether you are hitting hard or soft; throwing far or near). This is why the "Z" axis is so important (this is all demonstrated in that striking the ball tech demo). If you are unable to see all of this by watching the tech demo's,that is what they are for, you just have to wait until the developer have a real game that shows this. Sony is using the bulb on the wand to try and create a bit of a 'Z" axis. It will help detect motion speed base on the wand movement. It is not as versatile as having a full body "Z" axis, but it is good enough where some Natal games that only require one hand can be ported over to the Eyetoy. The way the Z axis is implemented on Natal changes the hold motion control generation as it has been used in the past.
