Team Ninja's Itagaki on the future of Ninja Gaiden, the PSP, and the Wii

Team Ninja's founder, Tomonobu Itagaki is as known for creating two things,great games and greater controversy with his off-the-cuff interview style. GamePro sat down with the prolific developer for his thoughts on the portables, ports, and his love for Halo.

I wouldn't be concerned with less powerful console either.

That's something I've mentioned previously that I've been committed to for over a year. People tend to forget that I'm committed to the 360 so I'll say it again here: we are currently developing a title and we are committed to the 360 as our key gaming platform.

Wasn't clear enough in what he said lets not jump the gun here. It will be years down the road if it does ever come to the PS3, Sigma and NG2 would be competing against eachother. lol

He may decide to port NG2 to the PS3 later on; all he said is he's focused on the 360 and the PS3 and not the other less powerful console for future instalments of their series. TI speaks in riddles to throw people off so he doesn't trap himself in case he changed his mind this is a good thing for PS3 owners.

Pog. I'm not flaming, but comments like this seem to indicate that the new iterations of both DOA and NG may appear on PS3 sooner than most think:

I agree that the main games will prolly appear first on 360 only, but this is showing a slightly more multiplatform attitide than he has in the past...

Itagaki: I think it's an excellent game. Back in the days of Halo 1, when you exited the ship, landed on Halo, looked up at the environment and heard the epic music and saw the Banshees flying overhead--that crosses cultural boundaries. That's a beauty that I think anybody should be able to see. Whether you like the game or not is up to personal taste, but anyone who didn't think that was impressive is pretty insensitive to good games.

Not only did this guy bring one of the very best games ever to the Xbox , his opinion of games is also first class.Actually my opinion of people not liking Halo is that they are not mearly insensitive but ignorant and moronic.

that halo is an excellent game. Gameplay is top notch, and online play is very well done. But saying "anyone who doesn't like it is ignorant and moronic" is very immature and hypocritical.

I'm sure there are games out there you don't like, not because they are crappy games, but it may be a style of gameplay you do not prefer. Now is it right that YOU are ignorant and a moron for not admiring said games?

This was a pretty good interview I thought, they should have asked him if he liked spider man 3 LOL. Playstation3 what was the point of that whole comment? I mean yes everyone has their own opinion but to just state the obvious was kinda redundant to say the least. Thecellownu Gaiden is still exclusive if you ask me, I mean the games coming out are just side game's inside the same universe, plus your whole comment was a little weird you should learn how to punctuate. NG2 will be pretty good cant wait I always liked his game's and really like that he's down to earth, I mean you can send him mail and I think he writes back saying thanks. Cant wait

I would love to see a joint project between Bungie and Team Ninja (WOW! the Possibilities)

Xi im not bashing the 360 cuz i luv 360 too, but um even MS said at last years E3 that the ps3 is twice the power of the 360 lol, maybe the results so far have been equal but thats all hehe.

but yeah TEAM ninja is great, i luv DOA, NG and everything Team ninja makes. i just want him to hurry with his games, i wanna play code chronus regardless of what system its on, cuz im gonna have both *already got ps3, and GF has 360

Well perhaps moronic was a little strong but people are certainly ignorant if they can't see good in Halo.I'm unlikely to play a lot of games because for whatever reason but would never diss any of them were they clearly great games that i didn't have a likeing to.
