Do you remember back in January when PlayStation decided to show off the amazing next-gen graphics of Gran Turismo HD with a screenshot of, er, Xbox 360's Project Gotham 3? Well, looks like they're still trying to convince themselves that PGR really is a PS3 game...
Car manufacturer Kia is currently running a promotion with PlayStation in Spain that compares the thrill of driving one of their real-life motors with the thrill of driving a Ferrari Enzo on your PS3. Except no PS3 game has a Ferrari Enzo in it.
Ah well, at least you can't clearly tell that this screenshot has clearly come from PGR3. Oh wait. Look at the number plate...
You can check the Kia/PlayStation website out for yourself here, but since it'll no doubt be pulled very soon I've captured the moment for posterity.
Luke Plunkett of Kotaku writes, "I think we all took the Xbox 360 for granted. Other all-time greats like the SNES and PS2 seem to be remembered more fondly than Microsoft’s console, which tends to be recalled as more of a thing that happened than a platform to be treasured."
A Kotaku writer pining for Xbox's golden years. I'm guessing there will be some good comments here.
“WE”didn’t take it for granted, M$ did.
What happened prior to launch of the One up through current day with their marketing and focus away from games and consumers. The failure of the One has nothing to do with the 360 being great. In fact backward compatibility and the 360 is about all the One had/has going for it. Now M$ is dumping money into fornite articles to try and be seen as more than they are, a company that doesn’t give a damn about its fan boys or products.
Microsoft’s Xbox Division head honcho Phil Spencer is always quite open to conversations with the fans on social media, and today he went on one of his usual Twitter sprees, talking about quite a few interesting topics.
Sunset Overdrive was so fun, unlike any game I've seen in a while. Felt kinda fresh to see something unique. Hope it sold well, it deserved to, would love to have a sequel, maybe multi-platform this time so our PS brethren could share the love too.
Insomniac didn't release it on PS4 because Sony wanted to own the IP, so they went to Microsoft instead. However, now that the first game is released, Sony can't own the IP anymore, so if they want, they're free to release the sequel on PS4 or even port the first one too.
That's not as decisive on a Sunset Overdrive sequel as I'd like ... sign it up, Phil!
Microtransactions in Tomb Raider really turned me off.. I dont understand why devs shove that BS into everything these days.. First it was DLC here and there and now DLC, season passes, and micro transactions for every damn thing.. Im not getting XB1 this season i guess.. Halo has that BS too so your looking at close to $100+ for a single game with all its content.. Screw that
“PGR3 is a unique, next generation-racing experience where you can design your own tracks, drive any car any time, star on Gotham TV and much more“. Whilst the back of the box might make it sound like a Batman-inspired racing game, Project Gotham Racing 3 is in fact an arcade racer which was part of the Xbox 360 launch lineup back in 2005.
Loved Gotham 3 and 4 they showed more innovation than most racers do today , great looking ,great soundtrack and i was gutted when bizzare creations went under.
This should not be allowed. It's false advertising!!!
just to point out the obvious but it links to a KIA ad.
WTF sony!!! Way to show confidence in your own software lol.
PGR is a 360 game just LET IT GO SONY!! atleaset have some dignity.
Why are you blaming Sony lol, its Kia who have made the ad campaign. Geez
it must be an error, who wants to disgrace oneself with such a crap game?
