Now that the dust has settled after last weeks Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer event, themodernwarfare2.com has gathered some extra information and images of the current known killstreak rewards.

now im kinda worried b/c basically you can get like 30kills easily if you count all the kills you get from killstreak plus the huge plane thing
and there may be confusion b/c 3,4,5,6,7,9,11 levels of
and truth be told at least one match i get a 10killstreak so this may be a plus for veteran players but wat bout the noobs

i thought it was a killstreaak in which cod4 nd 5 use 3 slots e.g 3k 5k and 7k in which a 3kill streak brings you a uav or sumtin light, 5killstrea giving you a moderate type damage, and 7k bringing you a heli or something massive and that they were treated as perks in which you choose which loadout u want

i thought there were 15 kill streak perks to unlock that was shown in one of the trailers? maybe i was wrong, but i swear i saw 3x5 locked perks, but this only shows 3-11 KS (with a total of 9 KS rewards...2 on 4KS and 5KS)

But as far as I have seen from videos. The shooting hasn't changed much from Cod4. There is still minimal recoil which makes it possible to aim WHILE shooting. They should make the shooting more like Killzone 2, the shooting in that game is incredible.

Recoil? That's not something that has ever been an issue, in my opinion. COD4 had a lot of recoil for certain guns, and yeah, with some other weaker ones you could aim while shooting...that's realistic...unless you think that everyone fires real weapons completely blindly on full auto.

I think his point was that people CAN go full auto, which shouldn't be the case. I can't really complain though, because I liked to switch it up a little. I use the single shot accurate rifles, but am not above switching to the scorpion and running around like a chicken with its head cut off.

Personally I liked most of the guns in COD4, but I never feel like sniper rifles take that much skill to use. In hardcore mode you can dominate with one of the lower class rifles, which you basically can use full auto. They should offset your aim after each shot or something (rather than bring you right back down to the same spot).

Also, I hate UAV. I think it ruins the game a little. I don't camp, but I don't enjoy playing by a mini-map. It should be way higher on the kill streak list, or at least let it be disabled. Almost anyone can get a 3 kills in a row, so it becomes non-stop UAV throughout the whole game and radar changes the gameplay. I prefer tactical building entries, but radar instantly turns it into run-and-gun.

but different guns do have different recoil effects...for example one that i notice immidiately

i use an m4 as my main weapon of choice (with a silencer) so when i fire, there is barely any recoil but long distances the bullets spray at a wider range and weaker damage...now when i run out of ammo, for some reason, most of the weapons i see are ak47 with a red dot...when i fire that, there is a lot of recoil (compared to the m4) but it makes up for in damage

as for some semi auto snipers...it does go back to the same spot, but not immediately after the first shot...have you ever tried to unload a full clip as fast as you can against a wall that shows the impact...the range is far from being compact together, that means that there is recoil, if there wasnt any then you can tell just by doing that experiment

two=camp central town, with people only coming out when their perks are activated

now that they are making it the core of the gameplay, i'm losing even more interest in this game :/

Forget about seeing people concentrating on objectives or cooperation among team mates, everyone will just camp to protect their streaks...

Not to mention once 1 side starts raking up the killstreaks, it's going to end up very 1-sided and the ugly cycle will keep repeating.

Dude, I agree with you. That is effing BS. Now you're going to have air drop camping because everyone can see that red flare when it's thrown. Worst yet, a noob gets a lucky 4 kill streak camping a mile away with an M16, RDS and claymores and all of a sudden he has an effing AC130 or Pave Low. WTF!!!! I mean COD has always been about kills that's why you aren't penalized for deaths but this is ridiculous now.

Well thats why the MW franchise is successful. ANYONE can jump in, get kills, and have fun. Modern Warfare 2 is an action game first then a first person shooter, so it appeals to all people who like action as opposed to people who are hardcore FPS fans. Which is the bigger group, action gamers or hardcore fps gamers?

u make a good point but there needs to be a balance i mean clearly this benefits te good players and truth be told 85% of your teamates hardly get killstreaks and besides a freaking Heli going around and then seconds later a misile and THEN a F-ING HUGE PLANE dude think bout it

Yeah sure, it won't be as bad in the beginning but wait until around 1 or 2 months after the game is released. I think it has the potential to become one hell of a messy online game. Something is telling me I'll prefer COD4 over this.

But dammit, perks like the "Bling" perk are really going to be exploited by the Noobs; Imagine a Freaking noob not only with the Grenade Launcher attachment (A.K.A. The Noob Tube) but also with a Red Dot Sight or with a 4X Sight, just camping their a$$es off blowing people up at close range with the grenade launcher, and also sniping people at medium/medium long range.

Oh man, MW2 could end up being one of the best online experiences of the year or one of the most frustrating online experiences of the year. It all will depend on the kind of people who play it.

Remember, you can only have 3 of these killstreaks at any one time. As in, you have to pick in advance which 3 you'd like to have.
So I don't think there'll be too much going on, especially as the better ones require a ridiculous amount of kills.

Many people get UAV many times so no need.

with "5" you get at least 1 extra kill, you get another one and that activates the helicopter that, if you're lucky enough, can get you 4 more extra kills in no time and you're set for AC-130.

Looks like IW wanna make this game as noob-friendly as possible so that anyone from a 8 year old boy to a university nerd can pick up the game and get tons of kills without any skill.First,noob perks and killstreaks in MW,and now more noob perks that are even upgradable and more killstreaks to encourage people to camp and get killed with no skill.What's next??take away the heavy aim assist and replace it with complete auto-aim??No wonder why its so popular.

What's with all the gimmicks in MW2? Heartbeat sensors and sentry guns? I know it's supposed to be MODERN warfare, but that stuff is future warfare. I know it's just a video game, but I liked how COD4 was grounded in reality. Now it seems like they're trying to throw in all these different ideas from a bunch of different FPSs and, to me anyway, it's starting to get messy. I'm sure I'll buy it and play it a lot, but I was hoping they'd try to keep things intense without resorting to things you'd see on the SyFy channel.

And yes I know they have developed heartbeat sensors and sentry guns in real life. The heartbeat sensor is the size of a suitcase and has to be pressed up against a wall, and no one pulls a sentry out of their butt to deploy it.

You're right. I can't remember how many times special ops teams have had to infiltrate nuclear missile bases to stop a nuclear holocaust [EDIT] in only 10 minutes [EDIT]. Let's just say if I had a nickel for every time it happened, I'd have a lot of fuking nickels. Or how a marine tears the sleeves off of his shirt without getting in trouble and how that same marine is the only survivor of a nuclear detonation and is the only US member of a joint US/UK operation. Wow. Only one person remembered that you only get 3, not all of the killstreak bonuses. Also, you have to unlock those bonuses as well. COD has always been noob friendly so why are people now just complaining about it? If you don't like it, then don't play it. It's not fuking rocket science.

If you pick the UAV, the Supply Drop and the Predator, then you don't get anything else until the next kill streak, where you'll have to pick them all over again. You either use your kills and get the support now, or you can save them in hopes of getting the better stuff, like the AC-130 or the armored Heli. If you get killed before using any rewards, too bad. It will be almost exactly the same as the first game, but the rewards will be more varied.

It also says 15 kill streaks total...wow!

This could either be the nuts with all the options, or it could complete flop. It seems there is too much choice, and you could end up with more people worried about their killstreaks than actually playing the game. Especially on Capture flag/domination etc.

it seems as if they are rewarding you for everything you do in the game even if you play bad which kinda takes the fun away imo im hoping the points system is revamped for all this killdeaths etc i dont want a noob getting 4 kills and me 20 and hes 10 points behind me

im still looking forward to the game but seems as if its being more newbie friendly with silenced shotty's and silenced snipers i hope its all balanced out

Sounds fun (especially the sentry), but let's be honest... this is going to further unbalance the game. I never quite understood why they reward those that do well by making it EASIER for them to kill people.

I can see it now: Camping sharpshooter safely tucked away in a building guarded by his friends starts racking up kills and ruins the fun for everyone else.
