You get rid of campers by including dynamic (constantly changing) objectives to the gameplay and rewarding players that complete those objectives. That's exactly what MAG aims to do. Whether it'll be successful or not, we'll find out in a few months. ;-)

Not possible with repetitive gameplay on small maps like Modern Warfare 1.5. They really didn't change much except added DLC content (maps, weapons, perks, etc).

I'm basing it on my experience with COD 4 and the fact that Infinity Ward makes great games. I also base it on my experience with countless other FPS games and the fact that this looks to have better gameplay than any of them.

I'm not so sure about that.... The game looks great, and I'll probably get it. But there was nothing in that video that makes it stand out. I do love the map & the graphical upgrade... but aside from that... pretty much looks like COD4.

In fact, Killzone 2 still has multiplayer of the year so far! But as long as MW2 has COD4 combat with a new variety of maps... it'll still be worth owning & playing. It's destined to be the most played shooter this holiday either way!

Well it did something for me. Just makes me that much sure its not going to be a game Ill get into. This "New" mode called Demolition is just Search And Destory with respawn. Basically just taking what was actually a great mode to play due to having to use some teamwork and tactics and making it into another fragfest.

I don't want to sound like a fanboy, but i notice they was using the playstation 3 version. im a huge sony supporter when it comes to consoles and nintendo. I played the Uncharted 2 Beta multiplayer maps last night and although fun, they don't reach the level of IW's games. The Uncharted 2 beta levels feel overall to small and some are just a bit boring.

Let's not forget this is Naughty Dog's first time doing multi-player so for their first time out it's pretty amazing.

Infinity Ward has already had the masterpiece of COD4 to work from... so not really fair to compare the two in that sense but I see what you mean..

I still feel though, that Uncharted 2's Multi-player fits the game and they have done some things different that makes it, another fun multi-player. Something you can add to games you will want to play over and over, because it's noting like MW2's multi-player..

(that's a really good thing because if it was, then you would get tired of it real quick and never play it again, but this way it's a totally different experience that you have just as much fun playing - and one you can keep in heavy rotation)

you cant compare MW2 to U2. Different genres and you know as well as I do MART that every single multiplayer game to date can be boring every few matches. You shouldnt single out U2, you should however tell everyone how Facked up gears can be. You could compare U2 to gears and thats it.

Im impressed,and Xboxkings you said uncharteds maps are to small and boring, well this map isnt very large and exciting itself(except for it being on a rooftop). Also Uncharted has a thing called climbing, which you cant do in a game like this. Climbing gives you the ability to reach new places and have multiple layered battlefields which makes the maps larger and gives you more terrain to nagivate in and explore.

I'm not into fueling the fanboy war but I do have to point out that Killzone 2 didn't come close to selling more than COD4 or Word at War for the PS3. From a fanboy perspective, that's gotta hurt. I have no idea why Killzone didn't sell more, it's a great game, but COD is pretty much untouchable at this point.

I always felt that COD4 was too arcade-ish and twitchy, requiring minimal teamwork. I'm often competing against my own team just to get killstreaks.

COD4 however was revolutionary at the time. Not entirely sure if MW2 will have the same effect, considering that great FPS games have boomed in recent years.

Considering how much I love COD 4 and still play from day one to this very day, I'm more than OK with it looking like more of the same. New maps, new modes, custom killstreaks, new perks, new weapons and new single player and who knows what else? I'm there day one.

What cracks me up is that people think it looking the same is a bad thing or an exclusive to this franchise thing. Let's see how much different Killzone 3 looks from 2. I loved Killzone 2 but if you think 3 is going to be a drastic and noticeable improvement over what we have now, you're delusional. The only benefit it has is that it's not being released on 3 platforms the way MW2 is.

I don't doubt what you are saying. A lot of your statements hold truth. The problem MW2 faces is that a lot of other present-day themed shooters look and feel like it. Killzone on the other hand has nothing else similar to it at all.

At the end of the day Killzone 2 is a military shooter. It even uses a lot of the same mechanics as COD and Halo. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's not THAT different in terms of gameplay.

i hope they expand the hardcore modes, he respawns way too quickly. also i really hate the BLOCK that appears at the bottom of the screen after you kill someone, the HUD is cluttered enough as it is. i am gonna buy this game, but im honestly not as impressed. dont put your head in the sand and call it multiplayer of the year......it looks so 2007. KZ2 is still my pick but we havent seen what the holidays have to offer. uncharted 2 GOTY. if that game doesnt make you wanna buy a PS3 i dunno what will. it has EVERYTHING

It's not that PS3 owners are writing off MW2 because it's not a PS3 exclusive they are just used to their games pushing envelopes, I love MW2 I got my preorder paid and ready to pick up for the PS3, but that demolition mode dosn't look new it loks like Search and Destroy with respawn ( aka lame) it makes it no different than a turn based hardcore (i hope) sabotage, with an extra place to plant the bomb clever but not new just a remix of the same stuff , but I did hear someone calling in a predator drone ( badass ). the graphics look fine to me plus half of my friends list will be on playing and they added host migration ( awesome ), (about time). But as usual the only people complaining are your usual bots and droids.

fanboy eyes aside, mw2 does look like a map pack of codmw1. i am still going to buy codmw2 and enjoy it until something new comes out. uc2 will be strong competition as well as odst, but when i watch the videos of mw2 i get a sinking feeling in my wallet and in my stomach.

If anyone watched/read the many previews online for the MP aspect of this game will know that IW didn't just package a new game around a glorified map pack. There are tons of significant improvements going on with this game. There are things that change up the game play. The supply drop, the perk that allows you to attach two attachments, the custom killstreaks, the Deathstreaks, the secondary weapons, shields...This is going to be a blast.

To a straight off FPS that is no different from COD4. as said this could be a map pack for COD4.

Nobody isn't saying it won't be a fun game, but please, compare to like for like games.

The only thing i ever found wrong with KILLZONE2, Was some of the maps were to cramped. I prefered the big layouts and they should have included alot more maps in the daytime.
