Halo 3: ODST Leaked with Glitches

Bungies newest game, Halo 3: ODST, was apparently leaked through torrents for download to the public.

Video game glitcher Big B Statz has apparently gotten his hands on the new game and discovered several glitches allowing him to get outside of the maps.

Boy, they werent kidding when they said the game will be "open world". Notice how empty and boring the "open world" is. Not like GTA4 or Infamous where you have access to the whole city but there are actually things to do and to see.

And notice the awesome visuals and details! hahaha the game looks like Metroid Prime 2 for the gamecube! Such awesome graphics and to think that this game is being released in 2009. Hahaha

Here we go. You would think by now Microsoft would actually try to stop this but it's like they really don't care.

Either way, I wouldn't purchase (or pirate) ODST (even if I had a 360 which I, admittedly, do not) but if a friend of mine has it, I will at least give it a shot.

I just don't think the 60 dollar price tag can be justified with a game like this, no matter how much people try to say otherwise. Whenever a game starts as an add-on, I don't care about the "scope of the project" expanding or whatever, the game should be sold at value price. Whatever happened to GOOD VALUE?

MS makes this so easy for me :/
1) 4-6 hour campaing which was change to 8-10 when a lot of fans complained. It took them 1 day to add 2 to 4 hours more in the game, thats amazing.

2) We saw the leaked videos, FREAKING SLOW i mean really ? If you think those leaked vids rock you really need help, halo cant sprint and thats an open world to walk, fun to jump like 20 times to get to the place you want ? dont think so.

3) Now they show us some glitches, cus im sure they havent found them all.

And this isn't promoting cheating. The glitches consist of solo play and are not possible to recreate through competitive online play.

Also, if MS noticed anyone playing Halo 3: ODST on Xbox Live, they would immediately ban your IP from Xbox Live service.

The Xbox 360 does have some pretty major glitches in there Xbox Live Service.

I will not offer a tutorial, but I will tell you about some.

Gamertag Glitch: Literally steal anyone's gamertag and play as them. Example, I can join an Xbox Live game and play as your gamertag, or even pose as the gamertag "Xbox Live".

Achievement Glitch: On any game you can glitch the achievement system and get achievement's you really didn't earn. An example would be the Seriously glitch for Gears of War. You get this glitch by getting 10,000 kills. Performing the glitch will allow you to only get 1 kill and earn the achievement.

That is a couple major ones.

You can't compare a game like Halo 3: ODST to Counter-Strike. They are 2 very, very different games. Halo aims to satisfy the wide audience with casual, enjoyable gameplay. On the other hand Counter-Strike is simple on the surface, but very deep in terms of community and competition. I honestly don't feel any FPS stands up to Counter-Strike competitively, but that's just my opinion.

If you think ODST looks bad you should stay away from Socom: Confrontation and Warhawk. I don't see why people like those games when they don't have great graphics. Graphics makes games fun to play.

It's just incredible that people were able to play CS 1.3 for years before CS: S was released. I have no idea how they managed since it looks nothing like Crysis. No idea...

Oh just give it a break oohwii. They aren't going to fix these issues before the game ships. People bought final versions with the street date broken. While they may be able to patch issues, many people fail to see a game is actually finished quite a while before it ships.

Take the day you get your hands on a game and back that off by AT LEAST 3 weeks for reproduction. Thne back off another 3 weeks for Q&A by publisher and/or hardware manufacturer. Then back that of another few weeks for internal Q&A.

It always kills me when people act like there are bugs being fixed in the street version up until the week before it goes on sale.

While I am sure they are continuing to bug hunt in prep for the first patch, this version is likely what you are going to get.

Warhawk & Socom were not sold for $60 as a stand alone game. For the price you get a great lag less online experience as far as Warhawk goes. I never got Socom so I wouldn't know how it was.

Allot of games have glitches to allow you to get outside of maps and do nothing but stealth kills Socom had a huge problem with this and is the main reason I stop playing the game, Im not trying to put a PS3 game in a Halo thread (I know I just did) but I'm not doing it to be a troll or fanboy I did it to prove a point that many games have this problem what I truly find pathetic is that there people out there that spend hours playing an empty multi-player map to search for these glitches.

Take it from a glitcher's point of view. Myself currently enrolled into college for game design can take the experience of getting outside maps and learning about what go's on outside the map.

You can honestly learn a lot about design and etc..

Plus there are loads of hidden items outside maps, take Gears of War for example. Every map you get out of has a building on the outside you can explore.

Even on some GOW maps, the developers have left secret messages.

Ever looked way off in the distance far beyond the where the barriers allow access and notice something you wish you could be up close and personal with to view. Your only solution in this situation is glitching outside the map.

No matter what system and/or game you own, glitches exist within it. It all depends on how good the glitcher is and the popularity of the game.

In my own opinion, the whole developer industry is being "rushed" too quickly into mass production of games and creating a finished product.

There should be more quality assurance tester's with better knowledge of glitching.

It has the same halo 3 multiplayer with 3 new maps a single player that looks like 007 halo 3 goldeneye and a beta to yet anothere halo game. Why is everyone proclaiming ODST to be significantly worse now that there are glitches? Last time I checked, this isn't the first game to have a glitch to be able to walk outside of the main map area(s).

Counter-Strike. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (online). Call of Duty: World at War (online).

In the history of gaming I do not know of a single game that didn't have SOME type of glitch, small or large. Everyone needs to take a step back and judge the game based on its own merits, in which case don't seem to be that extensive anyway.

Halo 3 had several glitches to get out of the map, as all Halo games had, it's one of the fun parts of the game to be able to explore behind where programmers wanted you to. It's always interesting.
