Xbox fanboys aren't the brightest.

soxfan20055360d ago

Neither are the morons who treat a POLL result as fact.

FlipMode5360d ago

ya know people say the poll doesn't matter but IGN/Gamespot/G4tv/joystiq and many others reported it like it did. So obviously it means something.

Saaking5359d ago

The poll is a statistic. Believe it or not companies actually use polls to gauge how well their products are received. For example, this is very simple but say you ask 100 people if they like Halo or not. 60 say they do and 40 say they don't. You could then say that given these result, 600 out 1000 people would say yes and only 400 would say no. Off course, it's not that simple but you get the point.

sofresh2005358d ago

xbox fanboys suffer from battered wife syndrome, its not their fault.

spartan112g5358d ago

You could say that 360 fanboys aren't the brightest, but at least they weren't the ones that made Killzone 2's online play go from awesome to good.

ultimolu5358d ago

soxfan is about to burst a blood vessel guyz. :o

Kill Crow5358d ago (Edited 5358d ago )

Kz2 = 2
GeOW2 = 1

A user poll of 54% is hilarious ... plain and simple - anyone pushing that is like the idiots who approved and then supported that bogus article saying the PS3 had sold 30 over million consoles ... 6 months ago.... or how about this one

http://www.ripten.com/2008/...

Where are you fat droids - did you have your Diet PS3 yet?

PS3PCFTW5358d ago (Edited 5358d ago )

now when take10' own poll backires on them, it doesnt count.

coincidentally when this poll came out, it doesnt count either..

o.0

someone is worried......n its not the people playing all the greatest new games on a reliable system(54%).

vagisil5358d ago

thankyou, for using something as common logic here. the ignorant sony fanbrats think a half-assed poll is a true representation of failure rates. since they believe gameinformer's stupid ass poll, then i guess sony, microsoft, and nintendo all need to recall their machines, since according to that poll all the current consoles have a higher than industry standard failure rate.

11% for ps3 WOW. this means then that the ps2 had a failure rate of atleast 60% then, right droids?

Very extreme headlines, but guess you can't argue with facts.

soxfan20055360d ago (Edited 5360d ago )

It's not a fact - it's a poll result. I don't believe the 54% any more than I believe the 10% PS3 failure rate.

If you believe the 54% 360 failure rate, you also have to accept the PS3's 10% failure rate (which is more than 3X the standard consumer electronics average of 3%).

I'd like to ask PS3 fans (who believe in the poll) something - Is it OK to be bad (as far as reliability is concerned) simply because you can point to a competitor and say "They're worse"?

OGharryjoysticks5360d ago

I don't need a poll.

2 out of 3 broke on me.

I didn't stick around long enough to wait on 3rd systems reliablity because once I got that one I quickly traded it in.

I don't believe 54% either...I think it's higher because some people with broken systems don't want to tell the truth since they have spent a lot of money on it. It's like they are too poor or dumb to cut losses right there, and too ashamed to admit the troubles they pay a lot to have. But hey, misery loves company, so if they keep quiet and tell all their friends how cool it is other people can be in the same boat later.

IzKyD13315359d ago

"The PS3 and Wii have yet to bring a truly viable alternative to the service that is letting me connect to friends and make new ones almost on a daily base"

I stopped reading after this.....yup, 50 bucks for SO MANY features the PS3 doesn't have, like.....cross game chatting and.....well cross game chatting is worth the 50 bucks IMO!

cRaZyLeGs 935359d ago

Just to say. I'm on my 6th 360.

PataponKnight5359d ago

Wow all the fanboys can dish it out but can't take it. Too bad most PS3 supporters have integrity and won't approve this, but all the Xbox fanboys jump all over anti-Ps3 articles.

Megaton5358d ago

Abusive boyfriend syndrome.

"You don't know Microsoft like I do! He really loves me!"

XxSpiiKeZxX5358d ago

WHO CARES if 54% is not believable we all know xbox 360 isnt reliable...geez they say ps2 had prob but rarely and were at least fixable by yourself
hell i havent had anything that broke on me more than twice b/c of hardware issues
its one thing having one system fall on yu but damm y do i have to play a console while being so cautios and fear something gonna happen...its like driving when your drunk youll never know
after my first xbox died i was smart and left MS and when i got a ps3 i didnt have to worry bout anytin not onlline NOTHING
every electronic have issues but dnt compare it with an xbox which is clearly broken

ShabzS5358d ago (Edited 5358d ago )

once again you guys just read the headline and miss the whole point ... its an analysis (sort of) about why people go for their second/ third 360... and i just wanna say you cant put an "official" stamp on a game informer reader poll of 5000...

josuttis5358d ago

"Abusive boyfriend syndrome.

"You don't know Microsoft like I do! He really loves me!""

It does lead to the clusterf_ck deathspiral the 360 and Xbox fans are in.

The 25 million or so Xbox fans in the world make it clear to Microsoft they will buy anything as long they see it a futhering their fanboy war against Sony.

Microsoft has no incentive of putting out anything that isn't garbage because they know they have some 25 million people who will lap it up.

Embracing the crappy deadend HD-DVD format
RRoD
Disc scratching and destroying
Noise
50 dollar a year online fees
Laggy P2P networking
Weak graphics hardware
PC ports instead of exclusives
Overpriced addons like Wifi and Harddrives

What incentive does Microsoft have?

It's the blessing and curse for Microsoft in the console market.

25 million people will buy whatever junk they crap out.

Everyone else wouldn't even think of wasting their money on such junk.

G3TDOWN5358d ago

I already had a PS3 so I just gave up with the 360 and sold it on ebay after I got it back from Microsoft

chaosatom5358d ago

Where was this like 6 months ago? or 1 year ago? or 2 years ago?

G3TDOWN5358d ago

so people buy the PS3 slim instead of the 360 !! we want to save their lives lol

ultimolu5358d ago (Edited 5358d ago )

soxfan...I don't give a sh*t what that failure rate is for the 360. It's an unreliable system.

STOP EXCUSING MICROSOFT FOR THIS.

Thank you.

I can accept the fact that there are PS3 failures but it's nowhere near as bad as the 360.

PS3-2 years and counting.

WMW5358d ago

i don't think they replace the system out love for MS or because of abusive boyfriend syndrome and not for the games its because it cost you more to throw it away then it does to replace it throwing it away could come close to losing $1000 dollars system $200, batteries(depends how many you buy), hdd $100, LIVE$200(4 years), and games (depends how many you boy) replacing it is just $200 so i'm sure most deal with it because they rather lose alittle dignity by continuing to buying a piece of junk then lose all the money they invest in it

Anon19745358d ago

I can understand if all your friends game on XBL, then you play where your friends are, but don't pretend XBL is something special over the PSN when it's only you and your friends personal choices that keep you attached to a particular system. Surely the author isn't that naive.

jwatt5358d ago

The first time my 360 broke was 2 weeks before Halo 3 came out, I was pissed and worried. The second time it broke which was the same month but a year later, I almost didn't care much. I think it depends on when your 360 breaks, plus knowing that you have a live subscription plays a big part in why people keep coming back.

JokesOnYou5358d ago (Edited 5358d ago )

"Abusive boyfriend syndrome."

-Well it must be something we learned from dating the ps2, sony denied all the violence until they were sued in court. Still they never compensated the many victims of their faulty consoles. The abused wives who once took all the punishment sony could dish out will tell you "aww but it wasn't as bad back then", yeah OK, you mean the internet/n4g wasn't big back then, but any psychiatrist will tell you many survivors develop amnesia to keep their sanity. lol

-Sony's past wrongs doesn't make micro's current failures this gen anymore acceptable which is why the xbox community spoke out early and often and forced micro to compensate them, the haters/hypocrites will tell you 360 isn't worth it. The public/past ps2 owners like me disagree and gamers have continued to buy xbox 360's knowing that they are also covered by a 3yr warranty.

-Gamers who make a choice to buy a 360 do so for one reason they like what the 360 offers vs the ps3, the fact that micro has built a brand attractive enough to still outsell the latest ps brand even while suffering from a early high failure rate is nothing short of amazing, the past high hardware failure rate isn't going to change that.

-I say just keep the rrod stories coming, they aren't pointing out any new cases of a large amounts of current jasper 360's experiencing hardware failures and thus they only end up pointing out that despite past failures that the 360 is indeed STILL very popular among gamers...and based on the recent Nielsen study of 360 getting the most play time thats very much a testament to what 360 offers.

JOY

dragunrising5358d ago

Why is every other article about RROD? Are they seasonal in nature? One unscientific survey of 5000 is taken by Game Informer subscribers and the same crap is regurgitated from a year ago... Regardless of the figure, and the hardware problems, it doesn't warrant all the attention its receiving TODAY. I had it once...others had it more. Old news.

N4G has become pathetic. The majority of the articles are about the 360 failing and PS3 "winning." What happened to news pertaining to actually gaming rather than hate mongering?

Above Awesome5358d ago

For some, like myself, Live is a legitimate reason for me to keep my 360. I buy all the exclusives on PS3 and I could really live off all of them for the rest of the generation, but there's an exception.

Live is literally the reason why I buy all my multiplatform games on my 360. Just how everything and everyone is alive and integrated. It's so seamless.

This is an example what happens when I turn on my 360:
-I turn on my 360 it boots up to NXE
-I scroll up once and see who's online.
-I join a party already made up of 4 of my friends
-We chat up for a little bit playing individual games
-Someone sends an invite to the entire party to Call of Duty 4
-We all accept it and we all join his party in CoD4 within seconds.

That is why Live will continually get my money until PSN offers the same, not to mention that almost everyone on Live has a mic if I ever need to play alone with randoms.

No doubt in my mind, if PSN had party chat alone, I'd probably buy more of my multiplatform games on the PS3.

Don't get me wrong, I play my PS3 and 360 equally, (inFamous is amazing) but Live is well worth the admission and why I keep my 360.

josuttis5358d ago

Microsoft's online service will continue to be a joke until they can wake up and learn from Sony.

1. Free online play for everyone

2. Dedicated servers for lagfree online play for all major games

No amount of stupid little bullet points can make up for Microsoft's crappy online service. Your service isn't worth even bothering with if you can't even get the two most fundamental parts of online gaming.

Sony has been teaching Microsoft how to do online console gaming right now for over two years. Why isn't Microsoft learning from Sony?

Above Awesome5358d ago

Alright, that's your opinion and I respect that.

I'm definitely not saying PSN is a terrible service, there are several things I like about PSN such as dedicated servers as you mentioned, Home, gaming sharing, etc.

I believe that I'm getting my money's worth paying for Live. That's my opinion. If you think paying 7 bucks a month is too much, that's fine by me. I can't tell a man how to spend his cold earned cash.

Personally, my gamercard represents myself when I game, I can't give that up. My gaming history, achievements. Party chat is also a big draw for myself, my brother lives in Alberta now for his job, we talk and play occasional games through Live quite regularly.

Different strokes for different people.

NewZealander5358d ago

54% failure rate is hardly fact, for two main reasons.

1. theres no way to tell if the people voteing actually own a 360, its very easy to vote negativly against a console you dont like, and going by N4G theres alot of people on here that are only too happy to make a fuss about MS.

2. people that have had issues with the console are more likely to give feedback, ive never had a problem but i fully understand the frustration of those that have.

after all the redesigns and updates the console has been through theres no way i believe theres a 54% failure rate, but then again im not stupid enough to believe everything i read on the internet.

Socrates5358d ago

NewZealander, great comment! I agree completely. Such a survey can never be reliable. That's like looking at user reviews on Metacritic and expecting to get an honest assessment of a game. It isn't going to happen. As we have seen, fanboys are all too happy and willing to mark down an exclusive from the opposing console in hopes of making it look bad. What makes anybody think they wouldn't do something similar in a survey?

That survey is bogus. It's not GameInformer's fault, it's just the nature of the beast.

king dong5358d ago (Edited 5358d ago )

are you nasim by any chance?

Just reading your posts points to a whole load of sony fanboy!

you clearly no nothing about live. live does have dedicated servers for some games just like the psn! and i'm sure if you knew anything, you would know that even dedicated servers suffer from lag, and have latency problems....try joing a dedicated server thats not in your region!! unless in this sony gaming nirvana that all you fanboys portray, everyone has a super fibre connection, and every body lives right next to the servers.

I was playing killzone all weekend( i didn't even touch my xbox), and on many occassions, players would drop down dead long after i shot them, or i would get shot-gunned, and be dead before the shot even registered on my screen.....and thats soppesedly running on the "bezt zerverz in the hiztory of gamingzz". fanboys make me sick.

try battlefield bad company, and tell me that dedicated servers dont have problems!

n4g seriously, this site and large percentage of its community are just the worst know-nothing fanboy idiots on the net!!

disagree all you want about what io said about dedicated servers. yeah they make games with large player counts possible, but they do suffer with problems...to say they are faultless either makes you look like you dont know what you are looking for, or it proves you are a fanboys.

uie4rhig5358d ago

Mr. T expression not intended!
that's like asking 100 people whether their product is sh*t, 50 of which you are sure have had a bad experience with the product. bullsh*t number, stop talking about this stupid percentage.. give it up!

Sarcasm5358d ago

I think I might start shooting up heroine so I can go to Xbox Land where the 360's failure rate is 0% and the PS3 never existed.

Syronicus5358d ago

I don't believe it's 54% either. For me personally, it is 80%. 4 out of 5 consoles have RROD'd. I say the poll was light on the matter.

ukilnme5358d ago

@ JokesOnYou

Once again you speak the truth. I'm still wondering why RROD articles worry the Sony Faithful so much.

creeping judas5358d ago

"Too bad most PS3 supporters have integrity"

Ahhh man, that is classic!!!! Quote of the year.

ShabzS5358d ago

wow... Jokes on You has a point there

shingo5358d ago

when i look at my friends and the people i know with 360s, i get shocked to realize that ALL of them got rrod'd except two (because they have bought it like 3 weeks back.

therefore to me, i think the failure rate is even higher than 54%, yes i said it.

Arthur_5358d ago (Edited 5358d ago )

Well, let me see....could it be the great selection of games(1st & 3rd party)?

could it be XBL(a paid service, yes, but is far superior to the "just-catching up" PSN)?

could it be the all the content on the marketplace, like movies, games, etc.?

could it be the features(future & present), like Netflix, Facebook, etc.?

could it be the fact that the xbox has had the ability to stream content(HD and standard def) like BR-Rips, music, pictures, etc. and programs like tversity only make it better by adding all kinds of HD feeds and Youtube and Hulu to the mix?

Could it be the fact that MS did not abandon the issue, but addressed it with a kick ass warranty?

There are so many reasons why I am on my 2nd Elite, and dont give a f*ck. :) But sure, in the future(the 360slim or 720) MS should be more careful with their quality control and make sure they dont rush things.

This article was in relation to why people are putting up with a SUPPOSED 54% failure rate(gotta love those polls lol). Well, I am on my 2nd Elite, but only because I BOUGHT SECOND ONE. The first one is in my bedroom, the SECOND one is in my living room. Am I lucky? Maybe. BUT I once had a launch-date 360 console that I gave to my brother, and yes it failed, but MS fixed it, and you know what? IF it fails again, he still wont give a f*ck. We enjoy playing on XBL, with my other siblings and we all love what the console is doing and will do in the future.

Yes there is a PS3 in the house. No it doesn't get played often. No we have never watched a blu-ray movie on it. Most of you are prolly asking "why the hell not dude!?!?"--simple answer? We bought it for games first, and unfortunately, there was nothing worth playing for about 2 years. Its played MGS4, LBP, and Killzone 2 and a couple other games not worth mentioning. Thats it.

Are we anti-ps3? I dont think so, but a lot of you would prolly disagree. It seems that unless I totally trash MS and the 360, and then build shrine to Sony, then I am just a MS/360 fanboy. If this article was about what people love about the PS3, I wouldnt have much to say except that I enjoyed MGS4 a lot, I plan on purchasing the motion controller- even though I have a Wii, and that I love running Linux OS :)

ShadowCK5358d ago (Edited 5358d ago )

The Xbox 360 has not got a failure rate of 54%, that's a ridiculous thing to say. The last failure rate measurement which was in 2008 before the NXLE, was confirmed to be below 16 percent. How the hell can the percentage suddenly rise by 38% when it’s been going downhill ever still?

Regardless, if this 51% were to be true then your Xbox 360 would have half the chance of breaking every time you use it. It’s utterly preposterous and completely wrong! I had an Xbox 360 for two years and it broke once! Yes, many Sony Gangs are quick to remind us that the failure WAS high in the past but at least Microsoft fixed the hardware, allow full game downloads and gave us a 3 year warranty.

What’s ****ing stupid is that this article is using a percentage based of a survey of people ‘claiming’ to be 360 owners! Yeah like as if the viral Sony gang didn't corrupt that with their fanboy stink. Get real.

This Article = Complete Failure.

thetruthinator5358d ago

Im on like my 4th xbox (still havent payed a dime).... And i am still glad to own a 360 instead of a ps3

If microsoft didnt replace my broken console for free, you can sure as hell bet that i would be a ps3 owner.

GameGambits5357d ago

Being honest I'm still on my first 360 for almost 2 years now. However, I feel it's just a ticking time bomb at this point so I've been constantly buying all my multiplatform games on PS3. I've also been encouraging all my friends constantly to pick up PS3s and about 1 or 2 remain till that's all settled, then I'll always have at least one person I like playing games with me.

I could see though how the 3% for PS3 is now 10% considering the sales have gone up and up and more are out there to have a chance to slip up. However the same can be said for the 360 that more and more are out there and that's why I can believe the 50%.

At the end of the day though 3% vs 33% or 10% vs over 50%...it doesn't take a math wiz to realize either way the 360 is a bad move if you actually want to have a gaming console that won't break down on you.

CarlosX3605357d ago

...they can have another lawsuit? What, they're asking for a lawsuit?

LizardLicker5357d ago (Edited 5357d ago )

For every small minded xbox diehard fan (not to insult every xbox owner, its just I hate fanboys xbox or ps wise) who says ps3 owners voted that xbox they don't own failed it could have been xbox owners whos xboxs failed and they voted it didn't.

Unless Microsoft gives actual numbers we will never know real failure rate.

And I really don't know why would anyone vote their box failed or not if it did/didn't but then again I never understood fanboys...

I love when people completely miss the point.

The point of the article is what Microsoft is doing right that allows gamers to forgive the failure problems. The 54% failure rate is just the latest number tossed at what is a continuing problem for 360 owners.

chaosatom5358d ago (Edited 5358d ago )

after 3 years into the launch.

Even if it's not 50% or %33 percent, but it's still pretty high.

40cal5358d ago (Edited 5358d ago )

There is not a single game or service available on any gaming platform that excuses this failure rate.

And considering that the billion dollar warranty is now the billion dollar PLUS warranty program I can almost guarantee that the failure is close to 54%.

At launch buying into this product more than twice was just plain stupid. Now, with how widespread and documented the issues are your straight retarded if you keep pumping your cash into this system.

StanLee5358d ago

2 years and I have been fortunate to not have had any problems with my XBox 360 (*knocks on wood*) but when I'm on my PS3, I miss being on XBox Live. I miss my friends, I miss party chat, I miss the UI. XBox Live is the reason I have an XBox 360. It's the reason I use the console more and it's the reason if/when my XBox 360 dies, I'll be anxiously waiting for it the return from being repaired by Microsoft.

ApocalypseShadow5360d ago

but even i don't think it's 54%.

now,if the poll was asked to all xbox owners and not just game informer readers, then you might get more close to accuracy.but it's microsoft's fault for RROD existing.they rushed, spent less money, and didn't care about the results.now it's biting them in the @ss.

but it's failure should never be compared to the NES as it was the cartridges getting dirty and not the system.my launch NES still works today.

and it should never be compared to DRE of ps1/ps2.if sony had failures that high, they would have never sold over 100 million of both systems.both of mine still work.

as for XBL,ps3 fans can connect and make friends every day as well in games or in HOME.there is no difference.you can meet and you can add someone as a friend on your friend's list on ps3.it's more integrated across XBL,but i don't see a difference.and games online now on ps3 have headset function.no difference.cross game chat?who cares.

but i believe 54% is not accurate.even as a ps3 fan.

apocalypse.................

Darkeyes5358d ago

What makes you think if the survey was done amongst the Xbox owners, all of them would be honest angels and say their 360 died on them huh? Lol, people like Omega and Murderdolls would never admit. Even I agree that 54% is over inflated, but it's around 33% which is still bad. In fact I know a lot of people who owned the first batch and every single one of them has got RROD. Do you even think that PS3 have 10% failure rate according to survey... See fanboys from both quadrant inflating numbers.

The sickening thing with this is that M$ is still defending this. "First batch has a failure rate of 16%"-M$... Yup my @ss 16%... More like 16% success rate.

"When my second 360 died I just tossed it in the trash and went to Gamestop the next day".. You see why PS3 fanboys here keep on saying that 30 million number is over inflated.... M$ did the smartest thing... Release a hard drive less 360 for 199$.. So if your 360 RRODed on you, then throw it in trash, keep drive.. Shell out 199$ (relatively cheap) and buy a new Arcade...

madpuppy5358d ago

I already know of a few people that are getting the arcade to replace their "toasted" 360's.

aaronisbla5358d ago

i read them in my head, and its Mr. T's voice thats being used haha.

I think dark has a point, who's to say that the owners would be totally honest?

GarandShooter5358d ago

Exactly, Darkeyes. It can be a lot cheaper to buy an Arcade 360 than to replace a game library.

DARK WITNESS5358d ago

" who's to say that the owners would be totally honest " its a fair point... but also who is to say that those people who voted even own a 360 in the first place.

personally i think you will find the average 360 consumer is not that dense that they would feel the need to lie about such an issue. fanboys( 360 or ps3) on the otherhand, well we all know what extremes they are willing to go to.

to a degree i can believe the failure rate being this high, because i know for a fact at a point i was getting messages every week from friends saying "my 360 has RROD " still having said that i can also say i don't get those messages anymore. its more like once in a while, i mean a good few weeks.

I have had RROD once and thats been it. that was with my launch 360. since i have had an elite and have not had any problems.

Looking Back At 2008, An Unbelievably Incredible Year Of Video Game Releases

Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."

CrimsonWing695h ago

I don’t think anything can compare to 2023

lucasnooker5h ago

1998 - the best year in gaming! Metal gear solid, crash bandicoot 3, medievil, half life, ocarina of time, thief, tenchu, resident evil 2, Spyro, tomb raider 3, oddworld abes exodus, banjo kazooie.

It was a different breed of a gaming era. You’ll never understand what it was like back then. The aura of gaming, it was different!

KyRo5h ago(Edited 5h ago)

I second this. Gaming was a lot more varied and fun than it is today. I'm 35 so getting on compared to some here but I got to see all the changes from NES up to now but I've never felt so disappointed in any generation than I have this current gen. I was expecting more from this generation rather than prettier versions of games that came before it. Game mechanics have become so refined that alot of games feel the same and has done for a while now.

Maybe it's time to have a break for a while. I love gaming but I don't feel I get much fun in the traditional sense out of it anymore.

CrimsonWing695h ago(Edited 4h ago)

Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil 2, Abe’s Exodus, and Ocarina of Time are the only things from that list that I liked.

Here’s the 2023 game releases that I personally liked… and big releases that I didn’t care for:

- Dead Space Remake
- Wo Long Dynatsy
- Resident Evil 4 Remake
- Diablo 4
- Fire Emblem Engage
- Hogwarts Legcay
- Street Fighter 6
- Hi-Fi Rush
- Like a Dragon: Ishin
- Octopath Traveler 2
- Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters
- Final Fanatsy XVI (actually ended up not liking this, but it was still a big deal release)
- Baldur’s Gate 3
- Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
- Lies of P
- Mortal Kombat 1
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Starfield (Ended up hating this one, but big release)
- Super Mario Bros. Wonder
- Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (I’m an old-school Zelda fan, but didn’t really enjoy this game)
- Alan Wake 2

I mean, honestly I’ve never seen a year of major IP releases like that, ever.

Isn't it just a generational thing realistically.

I've been gaming since way back and I some of my favourite games go as far back as the late 80s for me each generation has a year or two of game changing releases one after another before an inevitable dry spell.

I kind of agree gaming had a different feel games hit different because we didn't have the internet nothing got spoiled and you really had to put in the effort to beat a puzzle which could set entire groups of people looking for a solution. But most importantly games were experimental and not as cookie cutter as today even basics like controls were not universal today r2 is shoot l2 is ads garunteed you can't deviate from that in a shooter back then it could of been square, R1 or R1 and circle nothing was standard.

But as time moves on a new generation picks up their controller they are going to be interested in different things that PS1 demo disc with the t Rex blew our primitive 16 bit brains back on launch but to kids today it's laughable.
The new gen of kids coming into to hobby seem to value different things to us there seems to be a huge focus on online play, streamers, gaming personalities, and social experiences, convience of digital downloads. To me I value none of that but that's ok like my parents not liking the band's I would listen to its just the natural cycle.

6 Fun Games Where You Actually Play As The Bad Guy

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.

Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.

It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny

Armored Core VI?

Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.

Is something big coming soon to branch the story?

No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).

Trevor in GTA 6 is a sadist and psychopath who dabbles in cannibalism. Should be top of the list. These game “news” sites should hire people that know games.

I never got around to mass effect - I’m skeptical that it would hold up if I were to try it now

I would say it does. The combat is a bit shit for todays standards but everything else is great.
