Magna Carta 2 NOT Coming to PLAYSTATION 3

GOONL!NE: Straight from the latest issue of Famitsu, one time Xbox 360 exclusive Magna Carta 2 is coming to the PLAYSTATION 3 as well as Xbox 360.

UPDATE: False alarm, it is a misprint.

As far as we know, it's still a Xbox 360 exclusive.

(scans added anyways)

This kinda crap makes me love real "exclusives" not exclusive announcement rights.

what is magna carta?
I am sorry i don't care much for japanese rpg games.

LoVeRSaMa5423d ago

An awful lot of "Typo's" recently?

Tony P5423d ago

@Ausbo: Actually it's a Korean RPG.

If anyone played the previous game, exclusivity wouldn't be such a big deal. It wasn't that great. It's not some prize. About the only positive thing you'll hear about it concerns Hyung Tae-Kim's art style.

At least that leaves the door open to totally blow us away with a much improved sequel though. Here's hoping.

It will give the 360 a nice boost in Japan for a week or two, after that ... well ... you know ...

Baka-akaB5423d ago (Edited 5423d ago )

People really shouldnt fight over Magna carta ..

The first one on ps2/pc/psp was awful , easily one of the worst jrpg ever , despite its eyecandy .

There is very little chance that the second would overcome all the crap of the first one , whatever the platform of choice .

FarEastOrient5423d ago

I don't think this is a game that would ring with the Xbox 360 crowd, it did well on the PS2 crowd because of the Asian population sale through. This game's series doesn't have much exposure in the west outside that one PS2 game, awareness for this title is going to be hard as it is going to be considered a new IP on an Xbox 360 crowd that mostly haven't even heard of it.

I've played Magna Carta mostly on the PC, since this is a Korean game their main platform of choice is still the PC. Tell me how it is someone when it comes out...

I do see this title coming to the PS3 eventually since the PS3 outsells the Xbox 360 in South Korea and this is where most of the fans are.

Namco is learning their lesson after releasing Eternal Sonata and Tales of Vesperia a year late on the ps3.

Now if only Square Enix would take the hint

DNAgent5423d ago

Looks like the 360 lost another exclusive. Losing Ninja Blade to PC and now Magna Carta 2 to PS3.

Chicken Chaser5423d ago (Edited 5423d ago )

cus this is soo much better than loosing Metal Gear / sarcasm*

yeah..btw is a misprint look at the Gamezone post for the full scan

and PS3 just lost Cross Edge in this same magazine... talk about swapping sh!tty RPG's

Gue15423d ago

Both crappy games anyway... =(

Stryfeno25423d ago (Edited 5423d ago )

Now dont DNAgent feel like his avatar? Stupid, dumb and clueless. Lol.

Foliage5423d ago

"cus this is soo much better than loosing Metal Gear / sarcasm"

What the heck are you on about? When was "Metal Gear: Rising" ever a PS3 exclusive? In fact it was announced as a 360 game first and then a PS3 game.

Where does this stupidity come from?

You know what else it isn't better than losing?
Bioshock
Oblivion
Ninja Gaiden
Lost Planet
Dead Rising
Eternal Sonata

I can go on and on...

Chicken Chaser5423d ago (Edited 5423d ago )

did i say Rising? Obviously Metal Gear Solid franchise was a huge part of Sony's exclusive arsenal from PS2 games to PSP and PS3. Its been a long time since a Metal Gear game came out on a non sony console *MGS2-substance, MGS GC remake * and Kojima announced at e3 that he was bringing the Metal Gear Franchise to the xbox 360 and they are investing on a new Multiplatform engine..and if you think its only for this game then you are crazy. so yeah

Bioshock
Oblivion
Ninja Gaiden
Lost Planet -capcom games are multiplarform now this was exclusive because PS3 wasn't out in time.
Dead Rising -capcom games are multiplarform now this was exclusive because PS3 wasn't out in time.
Eternal Sonata

In the other hand...some of this games are far more important than those new IP's

You know what else it isn't better than losing?

Devil May Cry
Grand Theft Auto
Tekken
Metal Gear Solid
Final Fantasy
Resident Evil
Assassin’s Creed
Virtua Fighter
Unreal Tournament 2007
Mercenaries
Star Ocean
Armored Core

All of those are games or series that were exclusive to the ps3 or the sony franchise at some point

I can go on and on...

-MD-5423d ago

Well looks like once again you're wrong and proven to be an obese moron.

from you in the Left 4 Dead 2 PS3 thread "lol well looks like 360 lost another exclusive" oh wrong there too? Damn.

Seven under-rated single player epics for the long weekend

OXM's Edwin writes: "The sun is shining, there's a half-finished copy of Bioshock Infinite back home, I've got a third-hand 3DS in the post (it cost £80 - sucks to be you, launch buyers!) and another long Easter weekend is upon us. How are you spending yours - engaging in religious ceremonies? Decapitating make-believe rabbits? Dying of chocolate? Visiting your drunken excesses on relatives? Or playing videogames?"

Moncole4047d ago

Singularity is a great and fun game.

MikeMyers4047d ago

Yes it is. Too Human on the other hand wasn't.

Morgue4047d ago

I remember playing the Too Human demo on the 360 and I thought it was horrendous. I came across the game last summer for $3.00 and couldn't stop playing it.

M_Prime4047d ago

No More Heros needs to be on that list

Baka-akaB4047d ago (Edited 4047d ago )

Lots of mediocre titles in that list save Amalur and Overlord . There are better underrated titles out there , some more ignored than that list
