Ace Combat 6 revealed as an Xbox 360 exclusive

In an event that shall only be referred to as "Mondayton," Capcom shocked everyone by announcing a would-be exclusive for Microsoft's platform. Today, it's Namco Bandai's turn. Mirroring the Xbox 360 launch with Ridge Racer 6, Ace Combat 6: Kaiho e no Senbi has been unveiled as an Xbox 360 exclusive.

It's all about software...the more you have the better standing you will have in the long run....especially when you are cheaper and run multiplatform games as well if not better in some instances.

The balance of power has been tipping towards the 360 for quite some time now. It looks like Ace Combat 6 is going to be another weight on the 360 side.

'Hawx' Developer: 'Ace Combat' Didn't Feel Real from MTV Multiplayer

Namco Bandai has dominated the air combat genre with "Ace Combat" for years without much competition, but Ubisoft is taking the series head on with the Tom Clancy-branded "HAWX" in March. A Ubisoft developer told MTV Multiplayer one of the big differences between the two games is the element of realism brought to "HAWX."

Ace Combat Series Surpasses 10 Million Units Sold Worldwide

IGN reports, "Leading video games developer and publisher Namco Bandai Games America Inc. announced today that the Ace Combat series has surpassed 10 million units sold worldwide, and that Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system has surpassed one million units sold in North America. Fueled by consistently entertaining and accessible gameplay as well as cutting-edge graphics, the series has remained a critical and commercial smash hit since its introduction in 1995."
