The Escapist: The Last Remnant Review

There's probably a verdict in here somewhere, and it's probably not a spectacular one. The Last Remnant is one of those games where on a scale of 1 to 10, you wish you could just give it a "meh." It's not horrible, but it's not going to suck you in until you come up for air a week later trying to remember if you were supposed to be at work. The Escapist guesses all their eggs are in the FFXIII basket now ...

Bottom Line: The Last Remnant isn't quite the Square Enix RPG you were looking for.

Recommendation: Rent it. The character designs are nice and the battle system is a change from what you generally expect from a JRPG.
