Stickball might just seem like a haphazard version of baseball, but as MLB Stickball demonstrates, the differences really set the games apart. Bases are granted automatically (based on where the ball is hit, or alternatively, what you hit with the ball), teams consist of just four players (all of whom pitch), and you can even hit bounced balls. Suburban cul-de-sacs and city streets provide distinct settings for the officially licensed superstars (120 in total), although the large-headed players here are more creepy than charming. Traditional baseball-sim junkies will recoil at the ease and simplicity, but kids and casual fans might enjoy stepping up to this plate.
Pros:
+ Fun twist on generic baseball.
+ Easy for anyone to pick up and play...
Cons:
- ...which may make the more hardcore baseball fans squirm.
Questionable:
? Why is it so hard to hit a bouncing pitch?
