N+ isn't just one of the most fun Nintendo DS games of the year; it also has one of the best soundtracks. The 8-bit synths and hip-hop beats simultaneously play fan service to retro gamers and set the perfect tone for the game's cold, sterile environments. Updating old school bleeps and bloops with modern production has worked well for other retro flavored games like Bionic Commando: Rearmed.
