I hope you're kidding because that's the dumbest thing you can do. Freezing temperatures freeze the capacitors inside the 360 along with any vapor that was in there. The moment you take it out, the capacitors condense, the air thickens and the humidity turns to water that's brushed all over your 360 internals. Most modern electronics use Electrolytic capacitors, so there would be no problem with them. The only problem you would have is the water vapor after wards that would be left all over it. If you are dumb enough to plug it in you would short something if not that then you would have water vapor all over your DVD lens so ya its not a good idea.

The 360 was good when it came out. It kicked the arse out of the PS2's capabilities and still creams Ninty's family-orientated fad. But the PS3 has Metal Gear Solid 4, which is arguably the most sensational videogame of all time in both visuals and theatrics.

The 360 has a loyal fanbase of which it should be proud, but the high quality of games, future-proof multimedia technology of the PS3 makes it the clear upgrade to Microsoft's badboy.

Well in my view the only game EXCLUSIVE game and I felt that was worth to play on the box was Gears of War... then again its not really exclusive cuz I finished it on PC (good game at best nothing to soak you pants over). Im sorry but having halo 3 as their top tiered game is kindov sad. Reason is I've played WAY too many fps's from the PC realm and halo felt way tooo generic. The ps3 fanbase is guilty of this also.... RFOM was such a generic shooter. I guess both of these games were marketing success cuz they reached out to casual gaming market that has not really played that many fps's. The marketing was so effective for halo that I would not believe how many ppl actually tried to convince themselves that the graphics were good LOL ..

One thing you seem to forget about that 360 Meta Critic list you have there, is that alot of those games came out before the PS3 was even available. So therefore quite a few of those games were on the PS2.

Because my 60 gig PS3 is backwards compatible I can play the entire PS2 library like all of the SOCOM games, God of War games, Ghost Recon games, Rainbow Six games...........on and on. The point is that the 360 meta critic list doesn't account for the XBOX 360s one year lead.

All I'm saying is that I prefer a console that has alot of great things comming to it in the near future and long term. The 360 will not be around long term and there realy isn't much comming down the pipe thats highly anticipated for the 360 other than Banjo, Gears 2, Fable 2 and Alan Wake. The only other game that has any kind of big interest in it is the new Splinter Cell.

To deny that the PS3s upcomming lineup is far superior is just plain fanboyism. Those are the facts in the real world, not in XBOX lala land.

I own a Wii, 360, and a PS3. I wouldn't call any of those consoles bad. Each has their positives and their negatives. That being said, I prefer my PS3 over all of them. Does that mean I hate the other two? No, not at all. I think the Wii and the 360 are good as well. Gears of War 2 is one of my most anticipated titles for this year in fact! I simply prefer the PS3 because it serves MY gaming taste/needs the best. I'd never go around saying it 'pwns all teh others' because it's just my opinion. NG2 turned out pretty good despite trouble with tecmo. I loved it for the few hours I got to play it, and I've already played through the original Ninja Gaiden on xbox 5 times. Too me, Ninja Gaiden 2 was still a 10/10 experience.

This article is flawed, the "reliability" of this one wasn't improved since as confirmed by several people already (there is even an article on N4G) the 60s guts are exactly the same as the 20GB

Charlie the 360 is just as reliable as the ps3 now. Heat bending the x bracket that holds the cpu and gpu down was causing the gpu to break from it's solder. The 360 has had a die shrink and piece added to the x bracket to prevent it from bending. The days of the 360's reliability problems are over. The only people that I personally ever see complaining about the rrod now, are sony fanboys beating a dead horse.

And Willio, the 360 has better online, more high quality games, and a better price. That is all the ammunition any console owner needs.

And Cahill, you aren't fooling anyone. Please just stfu if all you can do is spend 16 hrs a day trolling N4G.

@Tweedy: you don't open 360s very often do you? the Xclamp problem is still there (the thing is still very loose and even the mods to help this have resulted in RROD), under the DVD is still an oven, there has been no fix to the cooling system the CPU still steals airflow from the GPU, the fan response time still hasn't been fixed the trapped hot air after power off is still brutal and the heatsinks specially the roomless GPU one doesn't cool fast enough (touch it after over half an hour of no using the 360 and the thing is on fire)

seriously don't try to pretend it has been fixed when very little has been done to address the actual source of the problem (hell even the non problematic CPU has been receiving a LOT more attention that the GPU) until the GPU is not reduced and starts generating less heat (among many other small fixes mainly the cooling) the RROD is far from gone (just so you get a small grasp of how even more extreme solutions some people have been implementing look at the multiple water cooled 360s even the ones were the DVD drive was made external and a 12mm fan was placed on top of the GPU heatsink...NON of those were safe from the RROD)

don't start like the Mart that think that only cause the 360 consumes less power, the fans are quieter (and yet output the same airflow and slow response time) the RROD is "magically" fixed do your research even experiment like many of us get in touch with other hardware geeks actually learn about it hands on not from the RROD denial or damage control forum posts that with out evidences and only asumptions think the RROD has been fixed

I and the rest of the hardware community are impatiently waiting for the Jasper to do further experimentation and until then is waiting time

p.s. and you know what is REALLY beating a dead horse? the people that keep on pretending that every small 360 hardware revision mainly the ones tha have NOTHING to do with the RROD are going to magically fix the RROD like this article that mentions "improved reliability" with nothing to back it up and not knowing the current 60GB are just 20GB 360s with new HDD and you know what is the worst thing about the RROD? how very few people have freaking clue about it the rest (what 95%?) treat it as a sort of thing of myths that know ones knows what causes it and how to fix it and that maybe by pretending that is gone (and getting all defensive with tha people that actually know about it) it might REALLY go away

leave your 360 alone. it's not worth the price to get those hdds, plus media center extender helps you have a central location for all your media, which trims the need for more hdd space.

if you dont have the 20gb version, but do have the core/arcade sell it and get the 20gb. if you have the 20gb and need more spcae opt for the 60gb or 120gb. if you're in need of the most space get the elite, but if you already have the 60gb you'll be fine. if you've just bought any of them and want more, return for refund and get the next level higher. if you want a 360 but dont know which one to get and aren't really interested in hdd space, buy cheap and keep it simple. if you're looking into buying a 360 arcade VERSUS buying wii, get them both. wii has good enough games to stand on its own, though 360's graphics will outpace it many times over for nearly the same price. if you have a ps3 and are interested in 360, chances are you already have the 60gb and wont need much hdd space on your 360. go on ebay and find a 20gb (2007 model or later) for cheap.

since i got the new computer i wont get 360 for awhile unless the rrod is gone but my cousin is one of the lucky ones he had not experience this red ring of death and he the firs to told me not to play a 360 for more then 12 hours thats when rrod would likely to to appear.

whatever you people say i still think if you have average pc, xbox is waste of time and money. right now you can get q6600 for 190$ a ati 4850 for 160$. with budget under 800$ you can make a pc wich will play any game on high with 22" resolution monitor for 1-2 years to come.
and you will only miss out on halo 3, which probably gonna be on pc sooner or later.

you may say oh i dont have 800$ but even then you can make a 500$ pc which will be much more powerful than xbox. same goes for ps3 but sony doesnt let their exclusives go on pc meaning ps3+pc is all real gamer would need, fanboys who cant use logic to their advantage are not worth pities.

If you own a xbox its fine, it has its own cons but if you look at the big picture you should easily realise whats better for you as a gamer.

Edit: right now im using an old dell 5000 which i bought over 3 years ago, i upgraded my graphic card for 70$(hd3850) and 1k ram(30$) and playing bioshock 1440x900 resoulution on my 19" all settings on max. i am gonna buy mass effect wich i heard is bette on pc cause of mods,enhanced interface and mouse+k-board. ill maybe get gears later but i already have more than enough shooters. I play cod4 on pc and its much better than on a console. so for just over a price of a single game i upgraded my comp to run most of the xbox "exclusives".

PEOPLE should really start thinking as gamers and not fanboys and use a little knowledge.
