Major Nelson in Bionic Commando: Rearmed

In a podcast interview this week, Capcom revealed that they have included Xbox Live's Major Nelson in the Xbox 360 version of Bionic Commando: Rearmed. He can be found in one of the Challenge Stages. Gamers who get to the stage will be able to view an 8-bit version of Major as well as a special message from him. The image below is not of Major Nelson. It's some other important historical figure.

Does Capcom and MS really think gamers would enjoy this? Major Nelson is a bit of a corp shill that has lost most of his "gamer cred" awhile ago. He is more like a Ryan Seacrest of XBL now and his podcasts are more stroking his own ego than any good info.

Thanks for the heads up and even more reason to not own this game besides the fact it being inferior to the PS3 version. Maybe if Capcom spent more time adding the extra challenges and refining the controls to make up for the 360's D-pad instead of sticking Major dipsh!t in the game it would of been better.

What does the PSN version have?

MvmntInGrn5732d ago

A D-pad that works, remote play, no screen tearing.

@1.1 - The PSN version has an exclusive challenge room.

@1.0 - How can you blame Capcom for the 360's D-pad? You can use the analog stick if you really want to although I admit its a bit more difficult. I got the PSN version (don't own a 360), and the game is actually really fun, and totally worth the $10.

Also, I have no Idea who Major Nelson is.

Guess I'm going to buy the XBL version instead. /sarcasm
BTW the special Major Nelson message is "Don't forget to buy our special Bionic Commando theme for just 100 ms points."

OMG WHY DID I BUY THE PSN VERSION THAT DOESN"T HAVE MAJOR NELSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alex_Mexico5732d ago

:O Didnt know the PS3 version had exclusive challenge(s)! I was already sold 'cause of the superior D pad.

and yeah, who is this Major Nelson?

I don't know why he would be included in the game. I played through the PS3 version of the game over the weekend. The game is great, I especially enjoyed the music. The PS3 D-pad is the only way to go on this game.
