IGN: The 10 Worst Teams In Madden History

Yesterday, IGN detailed the Ten Worst Quarterbacks in Madden History, so it's only natural that today, they follow up that piece by looking at the ten worst teams in the history of the franchise. Of course, as hard it is to rate individual players in a game, using those players to formulate ratings for teams is even more difficult guesswork: Keep in mind that the lowest-rated teams in Madden '08 were the Vikings and Titans, and they went a combined 18-14 when the real action started.

Remember that not every game has team ratings, so IGN have to eliminate some from contention. IGN also have to deal with everything from bar-based to adjective-based rating systems, and since they are not the somewhat murky proprietor of GameStats and don't have a quantifiable system for dealing with such ratings, they will just apportion them accordingly. IGN will also detail how the team did in the year that Madden rated it; remember, though, that the year listed in Madden's title is always a year ahead of the actual season it will be available in. For example, if they were talking about the Giants team from Madden '08, they would be referring to the 2007 Giants, who are actually based on the performance of the 2006 Giants! Let's satiate the suck.
