There'll be no more gentlemanly conduct as players applaud the efforts of their opponents. Hell, the crowd at Wimbledon probably won't even be quiet. No, games like Speedball 2 and Deathrow have hinted at a far more hands-on approach to sports entertainment, with beefcake players pounding seven bells out of one another and occasionally maybe scoring a point, a goal, or whatever.
You're probably thinking, 'How is this relevant? What the hell does all this have to do with a first-person shooter?' It's really very simple. While it does have a first-person viewpoint and there is a heck of a lot of shooting involved, Unreal Tournament is as much a sports game as it is an FPS.
