Strategy Informer: X-Blades Preview

Gaijin Entertainment, the Russian developers behind X-Blades, isn't exactly closely acquainted with the concept of shame. One brief look at Ayumi, the game's protagonist, will tell you as much. Sporting a massive pair of breasts and a set of 'armour' that looks like it causes more damage than it prevents, it's obvious that Gaijin were pretty clear on the kind of character they wanted to present - put simply, she's there to get the lonely nerds in.

You can bleat on about the increasingly mature treatment of women in modern videogames all you like, but Gaijin are taking us back to the dark ages – and they're most likely doing it on purpose.
