OXM: Elements of Destruction Review

Obliterating futuristic forces and corporate landmarks with upgradable lightning, earthquake, and tornado attacks could've made for some stunning natural fury. But you'd never know it from Elements' main campaign, which spans 90 tepid minutes.

Objectives are spread across plain environments like grassy Canadian fields and snowy Swiss mountains, but the high-tech defenses that absorb particular attacks are used so sparingly that most of the game is simply spent raining monotonous devastation upon poorly coordinated resistance on your way to three underwhelming boss battles. You can't even automatically continue from one unremarkable mission to the next in online co-op.

Younger children might appreciate Elements' mild, gore-free pyrotechnics, but even they'll forget about this overpriced ($10), disposable package almost immediately
