With the airing of grievances (partially) out of the way, Microsoft has issued a few answers to commonly asked questions that have developed in the wake of the XBLA delistment announcement. The most important thing to note are that if you have purchased a game that is ultimately delisted, you will be able to download it again.
GL: "Staff writer Shaz reflects on his small library of physical games he's kept throughout the decades, and how a recent move made him nostalgic."
I lost my drive for collecting physical games due to many discs lacking the whole complete game. Instead, of collecting games I started collected figurines.
While some video games overwhelm you with sheer scale, titles like Asura's Wrath and Doom Eternal make you the boss player right upfront.
Wolfenstein: The New Order turns ten years old today, so we decided to play it again and discovered just how much of an extinct kind of game it is.
It's an outstanding game and so was The Old Blood. Also a lost era of gaming. Interesting, I received a physical copy of The Old Blood 9 years ago today from Poland. It was digital only in North America initially upon release so I had to import.
so, microsoft, if you're going to leave the status quo with most other things (including leaving on server for Redownload if bought before delisting), why even delist at all? just leave it up, or better yet, isolate these games, but still make them accessible.
Just leave em alone this make no sense at all! really dumb indeed.
welcome, people got there eye out fer anything wrong with xbox 360.
they realize they bought into & continue to pay for a generic console.
they wouldn't let a small thing like deleting a game before you bought it but had the trial version slip by!
ha! M$ decides what games should stay & what cornball games go! You just better hope the crown go's along because if you delete your game to make room on your limited hardrive & m$ took it away. You won't be re-downloading it! It might not be the perfect game but it might have been your niche game. Win - WiN M$! Lose, lose game over for gamer...
digital give & take distribution.
& you pay for it.
I have my own delisting to do of cr@p games that I unwittingly purchased like Space Girafe(did the creator smoke pot?). Thanks to MS, if I ever want to play cr@ppy games, I can download them whenever I want.
Why delist them though? Are M$ running out of room on the service or something? I don't understand this...
Maybe the could make two files, Gold and Silver arcade games...
Seems strange to completely remove them... So if someone goes out and buys an xbox now, they won't even see games that they might have wanted to buy...
I wonder what those developers with removed games think?
HA HA HA HA!
