Ghostbusters Sony Gamer's Day

This is a video of Ghostbusters the game shown at Sony's Gamer Day. Kotaku made some interesting notes about the title on things they noticed in the video that is on Youtube. Some of the footage is new while other parts we have already seen.

If you have nothing valuable to add to the article then what is the point of posting at all? A lot of people grew up watching Ghostbusters and love it. I personally will also be getting this game with the others that you just listed.

I am from the late 80's, 87 to be exact. I didn't get to see Ghost busters till the 90's so i wasn't part of that cultural phenomenon that was Ghost busters...that being said as i look for the rest of the line up this yr my interest in this game is pretty much zero.

I expect the game to suck to everyone but the most die hard GhostB fan just like star wars force unleashed. That being said, i will be getting star wars even though it will suck to everyone but the most die hard Starwars fan:D

...you're right. Thats why only those who were gaming from yester year can enjoy a game like oblivion or BioShock.

You don't have to have been alive during the 80's to enjoy a game based in that period. To me the game looks great and very family friendly.

the 3rd ghostbusters movie was going to be CGI based, but got canned in the process.

this game is supposedly the fruit of those talks, and it will serve AS the 3rd ghostbusters movie.

Compared to the movie. I loved ghostbusters back in the days and wouldnt mind going back to play it especially if the graphics look this good. I will buy this game but I need more info on it, looks like alot of fun if u have co-op online, would be tons of fun and awesome as hell. :)

The amount of enemies on screen and the way they explode. Character models are pretty detailed (I like how the cord from the proton pack to the gun swings) The beams look great and light up the character and the area around them. Shadows cast on characters and the environment.

Graphically it looks a lot like Star wars: the Force Unleashed, and i liked the peekaboo appearance from the Marshmallow man/boy when he came through the wall. The gameplay seemed solid.

I was actually thinking the same thing when looking at the graphics. Both this game and Star Wars are games I'm on the fence about. I'm hoping they both turn out solid, but I wouldn't be surprised if the developers screw it up some how. So far it is looking excellent though and if they keep this up it will be a day 1 purchase for me.

i may have to take a trip over to where they're testing the game, just to give it a look see.

i'm a child of the 80's, so, naturally, i grew up wanting to be a Ghostbuster.

i've been waiting for this game for a long time, and while i'm not expecting it to do anything revolutionary, i'm just hoping it's a damn good Ghostbusters game. the fact that the fabulous foursome are all reprising their rolls has me even MORE stoked for it.

regardless of it's quality, ultimately, i'll probably end up picking up the game anyway. lol.
