IGN: Xbox 360 Game of the Month: April 2008

IGN writes:

"At the end of each month, the IGN Xbox team likes to toss every recently released game on the floor, put on blindfolds, and take a ball-peen hammer to the small pile of games we've reviewed. Whichever game has the guts to stay in one piece wins the Game of the Month honors. Shoddy craftsmanship is not tolerated around these parts.

Game of the Month: Grand Theft Auto IV
Why We Picked It: GTA IV gives us characters and a world with a level of depth previously unseen in gaming and elevates its story from a mere shoot-em-up to an Oscar-caliber drama. Every facet of Rockstar's new masterpiece is worthy of applause. Without question, Grand Theft Auto IV is the best game since Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. -- Hilary Goldstein

XBLA Game of the Month: Ikaruga
Why We Picked It: "The classic Dreamcast and GameCube arcade shooter has landed on [XBLA] with more features and a cheaper price than ever before and you want to download it. Even if this is the first you're ever hearing of Ikaruga, you want to download it. You just didn't know it yet." – Erik Brudvig"
