Wii Fit sells one million in Japan

According to Nikkei, Nintendo's Wii Fit has sold one million units in Japan on January 6, after being introduced to the market on December 1.

They are playing it off as a weight loss product. Its pretty obvious they are leeching off vast majority of the population who buys "easy exercise" machines because they are too lazt to work out themselves.

well regardless who they are selling it to the point is that many are buying, and that's the bottom line.

WiiFit has a few different aspects to it. If it were just dodging soccor ballsI'd agree with the gimmick viewpoint. However, they have aerobic workouts built into it as well as yoga stances. Those things will help you burn fat and become more flexible. Is a workout DVD gimmicky and can you lose weight with one?

Not everyone wants to buy a gym membership. Some go jogging, some do aerobic workouts in their homes, and some are going to enjoy having an interactive way to work out. 1 million already have. I bet half of you that are lecturing others to just go to the gym and keep it separate from video games haven't been to the gym in years.
