Fake: Wii Colors, Animals in Mario Kart, Star Ocean 4 Goes Multiplatform

Rumors allegedly sourced from the latest issue of weekly Famitsu magazine claims five new Wii colors will launch alongside with Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii will feature an 8-multiplayer mode and animal riders, and Star Ocean 4 - previously announced as a PS3 exclusive - will release on the Xbox 360 as well

Kotaku and Advanced Media Network have updates: the source of these rumor, a 2ch message board poster known as "Syobonta" aka "Syobo Online", has admitted that his Famitsu information was faked. The rumors were apparently some sort of joke amongst NeoGAF forum members.

It was well documented that these stories were faked - or at best, exremely unreliable.

But there's no point in anyone crowing about 'told you so Xbots'.
SO4 has never been touted as a PS3 exclusive, so when the platforms for it are announced, it may well recieve a 360 version. Given the popularity of the title, and the strength of PS3 in its own region, its a fairly safe bet that PS3 will recieve it. But bear in mind that Square are very interested in improving its global trading, so the home market is not the only one it will consider.
I love both these machines, so I'll buy it on PS3 as multi discs are silly to me, but I've no objection to 360 gamers getting an opportunity to play this great series. If you take the 'Bots' out of the equation, we are all gamers, and we should all get a chance to play the best games...

Err, SO4 was never announced as a PS3 exclusive. People were hopeing for it, but there's yet to be any confirmation.

The previous titles were on ps2, so it would only be logical that the following will be on the ps3, if not the wii, which is impossible since the wii is not capable of handling fancy grahpic.
360 fans don't like jprg, as evidenced by the horrible sales of blue dragon in NA, so I doubt So4 will see the light on that console. Of course it is still possible but it is highly unlikely.
