Nights Gets Real Weather: Sega incorporating Wii Weather Channel into new title.

Sega Japan has announced that the upcoming Wii revival of the Nights franchise will be the first game to directly interact with the Wii Weather Channel.

First comes "waggle" and now this? I must say that "waggle" has intrigued me enough to amass a 76 title library for my Wii, but now Wii games are going to be influenced by real-world events. So, now I'm imagining an FPS that pulls real global conflict data and drops you into the action or maybe a "cops vs. robbers" game that has you chasing real criminals. How about a cross-country racing game influenced by real-world construction & traffic delays?

Is social-networking the future or is this? Bring it on Nintendo!

6.1 - That is a good idea!

It would be interesting to see a game that takes into account the news channel, the everybody votes channel, and the weather channel and create content based on public opinion, world events and local weather. That would be terrific! The re-play value of such a game would be unmeasurable!

It might be coming though. I remember reading somewhere that Nintendo has some huge plans for the wii channels and mentioned that they had some never-imagined before ideas for this feature. Let's hope that this is just the beginning of it.

This is awesome. Sadly I can't see it being a game I'll get, but I've been wanting someone to try something like this. Ideally I wanted to see it in the next Zelda game, but hats off to Sega for doing it.
