Rockstars Bully revamped for 360 and Wii but not for PS3

In spite of all the critical acclaim, most people glossed right over Rockstar Games' Bully; it even received a coveted 10 in the pages of EGM. Rockstar isn't giving up on the new IP just yet, however, as they've announced Bully: Scholarship Edition for both Xbox 360 and Wii, complete with tweaked visuals and additional content.
Other than that, we're in the dark, but Rockstar says the revamped Bully is coming to both platforms this "winter." This could be the perfect game to cool down from the fall gaming season with in early 08 -- keep watching as we learn more -- but here's a question: where's the PlayStation 3 version?

we should just assume the PS3 version of multiplatforms will be lacking

but luckily the PS3 exclusives are better than 360 exclusives

I'll give you some credit that HS and Lair were tremendous, and I do mean tremendous let downs. To be truthful, they're steaming piles of sh*t. However, Warhawk has a much more immersive multiplayer experience than Halo 3. Once UT3 comes out in December followed by MGS4, Final Fantasy XIII, and Killzone 2, we'll start to see a tremendous shift in power.

Besides, this game (Bully) is old news to anyone with a PS2 or PS3.

Something Xbox and PS3 owners can all agree on is that the titles on the site need to be chosen better. Instead of "Rockstars Bully revamped for 360 and Wii but not for PS3" how about "Rockstar's Bully remake confirmed for Xbox 360 and Wii."

There are reasons to look the other way on the PS3.

It's hard and expensive to develop for, and the install base isn't too high.

I don't consider it "using" the Sony any more than I think Square "used" Nintendo. If there are characteristics of a console you don't like, you don't develop some games for it.

If you want someone turning their back on someone else, look at MS turning their back on Sony with the Dreamcast, or the deal Sony tried to make with Nintendo to make Nintendo characters their property.

3 - There is no PS3 version in the works because...

1) Didnt sell well on PS2

2) Most people that have a PS3 had a PS2 so they are either the ones that didn't buy it or already have it

3) PS3 owners can always get the original to play (unless of course the buy the new SKU)

And Bully for XBox 1 was a canceled game probaly due to M$ dropping support for the console so 360 users get to experience the game now.

Generally the trend is if a last gen game is ported to next gen consoles, it usually ends up on the 360 and Wii. I really see no need to spend money on a last gen game though. Mass Effect is the better purchase IMO.

i always wanted to try it but i didn't have PS2.. just GC.. so now i can try it on my WII.. and i always hated using the PS3 controller in GTA.. and i know the same engine was used as GTA (control mechanics wise) so i am happy to play it on the WII. I played all the GTAs so far on the PC.. mouse and keyboard on foot.. 12 button gamepad in car..

personally i can't really aim with the right analog stick... so sniper missions would piss me off.. on the WII i had a blast with GODFATHER and am still having a blast with SCARFACE.. i love the controls.. some people don't.. i do.. so i will definitly buy this when i get some extra cash..

MANHUNT 2 is number 1 on my list.. followed by GALAXY and GH3 (which my bro is prolly buying)

There are too many games i want..

so far i'm spending all my time with TF2 from the orange box.. and i regret buying LIVE08 for WII.. its crappy i must say..

When 360 are getting titles weeks and months before the PS3. Lame gaming tastes? Wow, the Sony arrogance is strong within you.. Last time I checked the games I'm playing are excellent and scoring well.. How are those "next-gen" PS3 scores doing?? Well, back to playing Portal.. You should give it a try.. i'd rather have a new IP (which we know is coming) than a rehashed last gen game. Granted, Bully was a great game, but it lacked the "mature" edge that made GTA so distinguishable.

In my opinion the ps3 needs all the games it can get at the moment, and all those who say "well who cares its a remake, the ps3 is too good for remakes", well what about ff7 that everyone has been creaming over, thats even older than this game. Remakes are a cop out and should be banned though, they are just made to rip people off, keep an eye out for bully directors cut next time!

32 - relax guys.

Basically, They're just taking the ps2 game, upressing the textures for the wii and xbox 360, maybe adding some bump maps ( or normal maps )for the 360 and that's it. Same content, same game. There's probably a few added content but generally it's the same game. It's really about Rockstar looking at their current IPs and seeing how much more they can milk them. If they were to change the polygon counts and make it next gen, then it would have been Ps3's loss. Since the Wii and 360 doesn't have it, then it's worth it for their respective systems. You just have to look at the table tennis game as an example. Unless it's a bully sequel, then you won't see a truly next gen game. To make a true next gen game of just another edition of said game would just be too costly of a venture.
