Rumor: Nintendo Developing New Pokemon RPG for the Wii

Maxconsole writes that "according to internet reports, an un-named developer of the Pokemon game franchise has revealed that a Pokemon RPG title for the Wii is in the works although it is not yet known whether this will be a sequel to Pokemon Battle Revolution. According to the dev, there has been no Pokemon RPG for the Wii recently as Nintendo wanted to push Pokemon trading on other platforms as much as possible before handing that over to the Wii".

Evidently, you've never played Pokemon.

No RPG has had a battle system with as much potential, and no RPG has used the potential in the battle system as well.

Pokemon may be played by kids, but I can assure you only an adult can fully understand and build a great team.

the RPG of pokemon was actually very well made. it was just that nintendo overmarketed the product and made everyone hate it.

i don't have a wii, so i don't really give a hoot about this game

Hmm, what I would give for a pokemon RPG with DS type graphics and it just have tons of space to be HUGE.

Oh, my, what I would give. It won't be like that, but I would love if it was.

This could be good, though. It's about time a home console got a Pokemon PRG, not just a 3D arena.

A pokemon RPG on the Wii could be *so* much better than just a 3D port of one of the gameboy/DS games. It could also be *so* much worse (see: pokemon battle revolution).

This could be great, as Pokemon has a lot more potential than it has been used for, but Nintendo could just rehash the same Pokemon game all over again like they've been known to do. I'm definitely hoping for the former though.
