Code may be the same, but theres no deniying that playing PES with the sixaxis/DualShock is far better than 360 pad.

There is a reason why the ps3 version of pes has recieved far more preorder's than any other version ;)

i have the 360 demo and i should say that i am not impressed at all, it looks just like the one released a year before just a bit less jaggy. i understadn that ps3 needs about double the production time to make the gaes look identical but it is a crime to downgrade the 360 version bcause u wanted to ship the ps3 one quicker. it could of looked so much better. ( to all fanboys, i wasnt making a statement about power of the system just about development cycles and KONAMI obviosuly wanted the ps3 version to not be the inferior one as it is the case for nearly all multiplatform same day releases).

it plays well enough though still which is the most important point.

I know what he means by preference, personally I cant play a Tony Hawk game on XB because I play with my thumb on ollie but my index finger constantly bent and on grind. It too hard to do on XB so it really changes the whole game for such a simple thing. I couldn't imagine playing tekken and doing all of Kings multi stage moves on any thing other than a dual shock either.

I will rent this first. I love pro evo, but this year have plunged for fifa08, which, although didnt immediately impress me, is really growing on me. From the sounds of this, the definitive version will be the 2009 one.

If you knew ANYTHING about PES 2008 you would know the game is made on a pc and then ported to the consoles (and optimized too obviously).

BTW, you didn't see Seabass saying he could have done much more on the 360 did you? He only said that about the PS3 ;) Guess that doesn't matter to you. I hope for PES 2009 the PS3 gets its own 'exclusive' PES version so it isn't GIMPED DOWN by inferior consoles.

Oh and to the other dumbass xbot: yes, its a matter of preference, and ANYONE who has a clue about how to play PES knows the Playstation version are always better because the DS/Sixaxis is just better to play the game.

Its a fact.

So even if the two version are the same in terms of code, the PS3 one will always be superior because of the controlls. And yeah, taht does matter much then the game having brighter colors or whatever on one console.

damn i was really looking forward to this .....will still get the game though ....but i feel a bit shafted knowing we ps3 owners could have got a better looking game if the inferior 360 didnt get in the way ....dont disagree....thats the japanese literal translation of seabass' words when he said he feels disappointed that konami imposed the 360 version on him. shame. heres hoping we get an exclusive pes2009....which wont happen...which means ms gimped the whole gaming market with their xbox1.5......which means i m really pissed off this gen. FCK!

the last pro evo on 360 was the worst version, the game felt broken. but now i reckon there wont be much different between the version but most people are just used to the ps controller compared to the 360 one, just a matter of taste in the end.

This site is full of brain dead fanboys who are ruining everything positive about games.

Why are fanboys so critical? You all need to have some counciling and get a life.

The game looks great, and I am happy that both versions will play and look the same. But it has nothing to do with the 360 as the PS3 was the lead platform on next gen consoles and was in development for 2 years.

I don't like Fifa but the game has always had better graphics and the new version is no exception. So PES should have better graphics , but any one who loves the game, knows that it doesn't matter. It's all about how it plays and having played the 360 demo, I can confirm it now plays like the Premier League. It reminds me of PES 4 which for me was the best version.

Just enjoy the game and where is the PS3 demo so can see which version I want?

I have to say that I prefer the PS3 controller since I grew up playing PES on the PS1/PS2 and with the 360 version I never felt right.
