Pro Evolution Soccer is the best footie game series ever. Fact. And the PS3's power means that Konami's latest game, PES 2008, is an absolute belter. Its beautiful, super-sharp graphics, detailed likenesses, smooth movement and realistic animations and lighting effects make this as close to watching the real thing as you can get – and of course you're controlling the action. The ball physics are just one of the many, many things Konami have improved (none of that cannoning-off your shins that went on in previous versions), and ball control now is pin-point accurate.

It's definitely not a Europe Exclusive, but with Football being a European fav sport, it is released in Europe first. It may be some time before it comes over the shores (now you know how we feel about waiting for other games).

Also have you heard the words "Region Free" and "Importing" before?

Why is there no PES PS3 demo yet?

I want to compare it to the 360 version before I purchase. The 360 version was good, and as the PS3 was the main platform I want to see if it's any better.

9.1 - the xbox version

uses the same engine that they used for the xbox last year whilst the ps3 engine is ground up. maybe thats why.

pes on ps3 goes way up on the scales over 360 plus theres loads more teams for the ps3 due to space 360 doesn,t play as well theres been a few reviews to that fact already,as for the demo it may be because of these facts and lets remember in sells millions on ps2 as well

I haven't read anywhere that states there will be less teams in the 360 version.

The only thing I have read is the 360 version is some weeks behind the PS3 version. So your reason for there not being a demo doesn't really hold up.

The demo graphics on the 360 version are much better then the 6th version and runs much faster too. And look graphically identical to the PS3 screen shots I have seen.

This is why I need to see the PS3 version, as the game is only 2 weeks away from release, so it should already be finished. Another reason why a demo should be out.

It's very strange.

i saw both versions 360 and PS3, not a huge difference except players animation. on PS3 players looked faster than 360 to me!!!!

guys....i think ps3 owners might be lucky with PES08....since the game is region free...it could be easily imported :) that is what i will be doing!!!! (PES08 is wayyyyyyyy better than fifa, and any football fan would agree with me)
