Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - on Wii

LucasArts has revealed that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is coming to Wii next spring and it'll allow you to wield the Wii Remote as a Lightsaber while using the Nunchuk controller to torment others with Force powers.

The Wii version, in development by Krome Studios, will feature an exclusive duel mode in which players can compete head-to-head with their friends. Whether this is online remains to be seen, but CVG doubts it.

awesome news ^^ glad Lucas Arts is bringing this one to the Wii as well. Shoot.. I thought it was hard figuring out if I wanted this on 360 or PS3 now I have to factor in the Wii version as well!

Yea I'm about as die hard of a Star Wars fan as you will find and this really isn't that convincing to play the Wii version. I'll use my curved-hilt dooku replica if I wanna pretend I'm saber battling (quiet down, im a nerd i know).

I'll take the graphics and more chance of online play on the 3.

That sounds so cool!!

One thing that confuses me.

I was at an industry only game event a few years ago and Sony showed off a tech demo of the then yet to be released Eye Toy for PS2. And there was a guys swinging a foam sword around to interact on screen.

Why hasn't this come to PlayStation yet and what is the plan with the new Eye Toy! I must know before I spend £180 on a Wii!!

Dynamic sound from the speaker would be awsome alone!
i doubt the 1:1 movements because Devs wont even try >_<

I desperately hope this doesn't wind up as a half-ass port of the 360/PS3 version, like basically every other multiplatform -> Wii game.

But there MUST be a reason that the Wii would have an exclusive multiplayer mode. To me, that reason is a combat that goes beyond hack and slash button mashing of the other versions. The only way to truly achieve an advancement in control over the PS3/360 game is 1:1.

That's the way I see it, but let's just hope one way or the other that LucasArts doesn't let us down. The lightsaber fantasy could sell a whole lot of Wiis.

this could be the game that forces people to stop calling the wii's motion control "just a gimmick".

Unfortunately, MP3 didn't do that (it did in my mind, but not for the PS360 fanboys).
