I thought I was the only one left on earth not hooked on these games. If people spent as much time learning to play the real instrument as they did playing these games they would have some great guitar skills.

I'm sure these games are fun in some sort, but so is playing the real thing.

I have 7 real guitars (4 Electrics, 1 Semi-Acoustic, 1 Acoustic, and a Bass) which i play obviously, i like to think i'm pretty good, no Jimi Hendrix, but good.

Yet i suck ass at Guitar Hero, an probably will also suck at this.

Bass will be the easiest instrument on this thing.

This is the kind of thing that annoys me. What makes Guitar Hero fun is that even people who can't play the guitar, and don't care to learn how to play the guitar, are able to enjoy the feeling of hitting the hot licks in their own living room. So what if it isn't authentic? It's just plain fun.

I couldnt agree more. I play acoustic, electric, bass & keyboards. Save your $$$ & buy a cheap acoustic & learn something of Value. Why press buttons on a controller when you can learn to play a REAL song - much more impressive.

Not to mention you're ignoring all of the multiplatform games of the past year- Spider Man 3, Need for Speed, Rainbow Six, GRAW2, Splinter Cell, and pretty much every sports game- that are better on the 360. Not to mention the ALLEGED superiority of Assassin's Creed and GTAIV on 360.

I'm not a fanboy for MS or Sony, but I get pretty tired of all this pointless bashing. There are always two sides to the story, so accept that PS3 AND 360 owners have plenty of reasons to be happy and stop commenting this crap...

Assasins Creed/GTA will be identical at least. With the PS3 the developers are 'allowed' to utilise the hard drive and they have the storage of blu-ray.

Ok let's see ridge racer sucked like usual. Oblivion put me to sleep. Dirts fun but no 1080P tv for me. Stranglehold gets the movie ONLY on the special edition which = MORE money! The 360 is using outdated RF signals for its wireless tech; PS3 on the other hand is using Bluetooth. This might actually have something to do with why the 360 version needs a wired guitar.

Ok the problem is not the signal DJ. The wireless controllers are just fine their is never any interference so no big deal. Anyways the problem is Microsoft doesn't allow 3rd party companies to use their tech. Yes this is lame as hell and unfair and I don't support or condone it. But it is what it is so oh well, I have used wires for 12 years so I wont cry if ONE game uses them.

Explain the difference between RF technology and Bluetooth if you guys are so smart.

You can't? that's because they both use RF technology. The only difference is that bluetooth is an unlicensed radio technology, and as such, has to restrict bandwidth and output power to minimize risk of interference with other equipment. Remember bluetooth is used in offices and hospitals where sensitive equipment is vulnerable to strong shortwave signals.

These restrictions on power make bluetooth more prone to external interference and glitchy behaviour. This is probably why Microsoft decided to develop their own wireless technology and have it licensed only for domestic use. This allowed them to increase bandwidth and output power over that available to the bluetooth specification.

360 controllers recharge through the USB port too, with a battery pack! You can use AA batteries too if you want but that adds up $$. The only difference is, when the battery wears out, you have to buy a whole new controller for the PS3, but with the 360, you just buy a $10 battery pack.

What happens when the lithium battery in your pad fails? You have to get it replaced that's what. I paid $7 for 2 sets of 2800mAH NiMh batteries for my 360 controllers, and they last around 30 hours per charge. And I too can plug my pad into the USB and have the batteries charge as I play.

Check out the price of NiMH (Nickel-Metal-Hydride) rechargeables these days. They're cheaper than the official battery packs and they hold more charge.

Lol. I said it before and Il say it again. PS3 version of oblivion is well known for being superior on the PS3..

Why?

Because the developers utilised the hard drive, making a better smoother gameplay. They also tweaked the game for optimal performance on the PS3. The end resulst was better textures, faster load times, fewer bugs. - Why dont you do some research.

And if you are going to start a argument because of 1% difference in review scores, then, well.... Your name says it all.
