The biggest surprise for me is Oblivion, a Western RPG on Xbox360 (The PS3 version isn't released yet) doing good in J market! Not to mention a GTA game on PSP also being among top 10.

oblivion doing good, because it's one of few west rpg's and i think japanese want to play a diferent experience,or maybe they just got tired of Choose the way to attack it will be minus 7 HP off your opponent, opponents turn.

VG Charts...interesting indeed. People actually take this site seriously. WOW.

I'm sure the Ps3 sales have picked up with the clearance sale of the 60 gig Ps3's. I'm curious to see what the NPD official numbers will be.

Maybe now the Ps3 sales will come close or equal the 360's worldwide sales per month. Because since the ps3 launch the 360 has been outselling the Ps3 worldwide 2 to 1. Even with all the lowered shipments from MS. 250 to 300k a month in the US...but yet the Ps3 before the clearance only 80k to 100k a month.

It makes the console war more interesting indeed. Me personally, I'm just happy I have all 3 next gen consoles with every game for each system. I love video games man. And the next 4 months will be fantastic for Gamers everywhere. Thanks MS, Sony, and Nintendo.

Hot Shots Golf is one of the most anticipated games in Japan, so it sold a lot of PS3s. Remember, the PS3 did not have a recent price drop in Japan. The sales were indicative of Hot Shots Golf being a system seller.

at first it was the chu-chu train.now it's the mag-lev super train starting to move across the land.whoooosh!!!!i'd get out of the way.

elite gamer doubts all the hot shot golf bundles that were preordered were selling this week."it's all about thew games!" as you would say baby boy.

the train was almost derailed by a high price and one AAA game that sold over 2 million(resistance-ha ha!!),and a bunch of idiots trying to make a buck off of others.but as luck would have it,the train stayed on track.chu-chu!!

next the train moved out chugging along spewing out awsome smoke with GT-HD,the firmwares,GDC and home,gamers day and the ps1/ps2/dvd upscaling.the fire in the furnace slowly growing.

then something happened:marty went back into the past and changed history.the train changed in the present and turned into THE MAG-LEV SUPER TRAIN.whooosh!!there were fanboy bumps along the way,but they were run over .thump.....thump....thump!haha haah!!

then all went quiet.the train was suspended in time.and enormous event was about to happen:E3.the invitations were sent.the screenhot was posted.there was doubt.there was worry...from the haters.....would sony and guerilla pull it off?then.....BAAAAANGGGGG!!!th e train went into over drive.thump...thump....thump.. confusion in 60gig....more fanboys in the way.and that's how it's going.the train is on the move.

sony is doing what they do best.an that is adapt.they adapted to the launch,the viral marketing,the popshots on what the system is capable of and if features were needed,the multiplatform games,the lazy devs.

they adapted.by making their own games,coming up with their own vision of what next gen is.and that's next gen games,next gen movies,connectivity to the psp from anywhere and other devices,next gen storage,next gen cpus.and right now one of their games is helping them just like motorstorm and resistance.and that's the marathon to 100.

it's good to see the ps3 picking up steam in japan, but the problem is hot shots golf is the only big Japanese release sony has until the rest of the year, so things will slow after the hype for game is lost(give it a month at most).there will be no other system sellers until the end of the year.

but sony knows bluray's tracks are laid out.that train no longer needs pushing.it will have pirates3(and box sets),spiderman 3(and box sets) and every top sony made movie added with bluray support from other movie houses coming just before christmas.the hd-dvd supporters just don't see what is going to happen.

that games that they like in japan wouldn't increase the sales of the ps3 by a large amount are delusional. ps3 defenders have said this from the start. ps3 attackers keep using the term 'wait or waiting' See the thing about these words are by definition they all end or come to an end. So yes ps3 owners had to wait for the titles they liked. They just have more patience.
