I'm kind of glad. I doubt I woulda had the cash for Lost Planet 2 if it was expected in March. March has FF13, God of War 3, Resonance of Fate for sure that I'm buying. That's over 180 dollars there, so a little breathing room to complete all 3 of those before Lost Planet 2 is nice for me. :)

I'm kinda glad that Capcom delayed these games, but why they didn't delay Dark Void I have no clue. That looks like it's gonna bomb like Bionic Commando

LAME! That sucks. I was really hoping to get my hands on Lost Planet 2! I just hated how we need to go from zone to zone like in Monster Hunter since the first had gigantic maps.

I also, hope that the game would have at least 200 gigantic boss fights if it's going to be mission oriented like this anything less than that would make it a crappy mission game especially with 4 people since we'll end up finishing the game way too fast. There better be a ton of missions. Hopefully they will keep improving LP2 with this delay.

Oh well, good thing they're not delaying Dead Rising 2.

smart move by Capcom. Do they really wanna release LP2 in the same month as FF XIII, GOW3, SC-Conviction, GT-5 and Yakuza 3 to name a few? That would just be asking for the game to fail at retail.

3.1 - Yep I wouldn't release a game...
...like LP2 in the spring it's suicide. I'd release in mid summer when usually there's little to play. The release calendar cluster kcuf of early 2010 could be called the result of the MW2 affect.

All these games moved back to get slammed in the early part of the year. Now there's so much to buy again and inevitably something is going to be overlooked and fail from a sales prospective.

The first half of 2010 is bloated with games and somebody's getting screwed. Developers would be better served spreading their games out over the year to give their games some breathing room.

Nice forecast... Nothing like getting a 3+ month jump on your forecast for fiscal year ending March 31, 2011

Well this is a smart move by Capcom no point in releasing their games with so many other AAA games being released at the same time. Other companies have seen what Capcom has seen that you can release a game in Feb, and March and it will still sell well.

10 - Capcom Summer
I hope they push them to be released in Late Spring/Early summer. It's really over crowded with releases during the coming months. I would hope Capcom makes a smart business decision. That is a great time-frame to release and get their maximum sale's in the US. Also the fact that many working gamers alike get their government tax refunds. That will help them pick these titles and alleviate the wallet hole.

***Looks at wallet*** Damn...

12 - Why delay Lost Planet 2
Lost Planet 2 would still give most games a run for the money if it was release in february. According to Ebgames Lost Planet 2 would have been release the same time as Splinter Cell Conviction. Lost planet is 4 player cooperative online for crying out loud!!! it like a futurist big monster version of Monster Hunter with better graphics!!! So what if God of War 3, Final Fantasy 13, BioShock 2 is going to release around the first quater. Lost Planet 2 will get nice trust me the word will get out people will take notice. As a matter of fact God of War and Final Fantasy 13 is only 1 player anyway. so much for saying that Lost Planet 2 could generate 2 million dollars in sells on day one according to capcom.

i for one know that despite loving the demo , LP2 would have been one of my casualty with must have like ff , yakuza etc ...

It's a smart move to delay it and make it a sure success then , instead of some great game being robbed .

2010's going to be an interesting year. We have all those games that balked at the idea of going up against Modern Warfare 2, and now we're getting games that are blanching at the idea of going up against the veritable tidal wave of pushed back releases. Let the good times roll.
