lets just say you only have $60 and you want to buy a free-roaming title. You only have a PS3 and you're say… around fourteen to seventeen years old. You talk with your friends and they show you some clips from Infamous and Prototype, you're torn between the two. Your mother is about to take you to the store to spend your money (yeah you're a mummies boy) and you look around your bedroom. InFamous was pretty good, solid 8/10 for me.

Prototype, I'd say 6.5/10. It's more of a mindless beatem up. It got boring pretty quick.

Needs to be slapped in the face with a rubber chicken then strung up by their man junk. inFAMOUS is the best choice between the two and to say otherwise makes you a poor judgement of games... IMHO.

inFAMOUS is easily 9/10 at least, Prototype is 7.5-8/10.

I've got both, preferred pretty much everything about inFAMOUS over Prototype, but Prototype was a bit of mindless fun.

Dumbass article, how many months from those days when fanboys attacked inFamous and said Prototype was better, forgetting that was multiplat and at the end the game result to be good but wasn't even close to inFamous

At least I hope I do.

While [prototype] is RATED Mature, it's anything but a mature title...it's silly frivulous violence for little to know reason. It's appeasing to the more simple mentalities of gaming: The Dumb Action Flick if you will.

I just popped in inFAMOUS the other day, and while the city is rather barren after completing both story arcs, I certainly have more fun and feel the city is STILL far more inviting than that of [prototype].

Presentation aside, I STILL had more fun with inFAMOUS. So what if all his powers are electricity based, the same argument could be made for [prototype], where Alex Mercer simply adds one more weapon into his arsenal to tear, crush, pummel or destroy. The end result is Alex Mercer bloodies everything. Cole's adventure seems far more subtle to appeal to the tastes of a more adult crowd.

4.2 - I got Merc 2 for cheap from ebay

and I really want to finish it because it's kinda fun shooting people in that game! but if I can, I would want to play the game with my eyes close! it's a disgrace for HD games because it looks like crap! if you see an enemy running towards you from afar, they look exactly like those found in Virtua Cop!

got platinum for it ans admit that the game is great! my only gripe is, it's too easy! I'm not a skillful gamer honestly and suck in many games especially online but inFAMOUS is way too easy!

Can't say I really like being in Alex's shoes, Cole's fit better. Only coz if I'm going on a killing rampage, I like to have a reason for it and being 'really angry' just isn't a good enough reason for me. At least with Cole, you can justify your anger.

I'm not a PS3 fanboy in the least, but I found inFamous a lot more enjoyable. The story was better, it was more polished, and the gameplay was smoother, imo. I finished it 3 times without getting bored of it, but I barely managed to pull through Prototype once, and gave up on it an hour into my second playthrough.

On the second island you start getting some of the really fun powers, and the story picks up. Give it another try sometime, if you get a chance.

Graphically and game play wise I choose Infamous the game was well detailed every building to the sky. Prototype had a few things I wish Infamous had like when you leap from a building you damage the ground. Prototype in my books I played for the first hour and traded it in the game looked like a last gen game graphically when you shape shifted your chracter of the civilian disguise ran like they were a huntch back. Hands down Infamous is way better still play it time to time wish it had some DLC

Some inFAMOUS DLC would be cool. Wish I had bought the special edition for the extra power when the game came out, but all the codes got shoved online and now are useless! So, QUESTION! Why are shops still selling second hand copies of the special edition of inFAMOUS when the extra you pay for the codes won't work?

Honestly, the "Gigawatt Blades" didn't make much of a difference. Cole can get swamped easily if he closes on too many enemies, and if he's near just a few, standard melee works pretty well.

About the only time it's useful is hopping onto an occupied rooftop; if there's a bad guy right next to you, you can one-hit kill them and then tackle the rest. But even then, I hardly ever ended up using it.

I finally put down inFamous, but it's not cuz I sucks it cause there is a bunch of Ps3 games. Everyone is playing Uncharted 2, Demons souls, borderlands, ratchet, and dragon age now. And tomorrow MW2, so it's just an overwhelming amount of games

27 - Prototype has no soul

I hated prototype because it was just so blah, nothing that immersed me into the game. inFAMOUS on the other hand made me feel like i was cole and I love the game. I have beaten it twice once on evil and once on good that was two months ago. I started playing it again last week and im hooked all over again, going for the platinum trophy this time im 93 percent done withall the trophies. inFAMOUS really makes you want to be an all out good guy when you play as a good guy, you really try and just kill the enemies without hurting civillians. And i love how different the powers are when being good or bad. When your good your powers can be more precise and not so destructive where you kill bad guys and good guy. The evil powers are all out destructive and kill everything, which is awesome. When i played as a good guy i was a damn saint, i healed everyone helped any civillian that came up to me asking to save a family member and made sure to use my powers the right way and cause little destruction. When i was a bad guy i killed everything in my sight, i would blast civillians into the water i would make cars land on top of a group of civillians it was so much fun both playthroughs.

To me inFAMOUS was way better than prototype any one who chooses prototype over inFAMOUS clearly doesnt know anything about a good game. Any one who has a ps3 and is thinking about buing this game do it you wont be disappointed
