As much as I'd like for this rumor to be true, I don't see it happening.

I'm personally tired of mario games. There has only been a million of them either about him or with him in it.. Make something differant please. This franchise should have died a long time ago. No, im not a Nintendo hater but I believe there comes a point in time where you need to move on.....

Rename SMG to something else, take Mario out and guess what? It would still be one of the best platformers ever. Simply because of the level design. It's really great.

Now, it wouldn't be as successful had Mario not been on the box but it would still be great.

" I'm personally tired of mario games"

And then you list all those mario games.
How can you be "tired" if you havnt touched half of those mario games?

You are stretching it.
Even if they have so many games with mario, its not a reason to put a list there to emphasize more on your "getting tired" statement.

Nintendo doesnt need to move on, its one of their best icons.
Just because you grew up doesnt mean they should grow up to your likings.

If you're tired of Mario games, don't play 'em.

And look at your list -- how many are dedicated Mario games like SMG? Party, Kart, Smash Bros., the Olympic/Sonic games, Sluggers, Strikers, Hoops...these aren't dedicated Mario platformers (he's basically one of a few mascots that appears). Subtract them and ports to handhelds, and you have a lot less games.

The real mario games are the
-Super mario bros
-Super mario land
-Super mario world
-Super mario 64
-Super mario sunshine
-Super mario galaxy

(including sequels of tittles)

EVERYTHING ELSE are just spinoffs
bros, land, world, 64, and galaxy define generations.
sunshine sucked

That's false. There's been an erratum, it's New Super Mario Bros Wii, not SMG 2
