Zelda: The Action Thriller

Imagine a Zelda game where the plot is so enthralling that you can barely pull yourself away in your first play through. It doesn't matter that you have work or school tomorrow; you just want to know how it ends. Visualize a Zelda where the story is so encapsulating that you find yourself literally hanging onto every moment, unsure of what is going to happen next. Picture a Zelda that is so storyline driven that it makes you think about nothing else. What if Zelda had you grasping onto every moment just like The Da Vinci Code or even Harry Potter has readers unable to stop turning the pages. Envision a Zelda where the developers actually put some effort into the storyline for a change.

Not even going to read it.
Zelda is about its gameplay, not stories. The gameplay is what needs to be tuned up to make it as hard as the first two Zelda games from NES; "The Legend Of Zelda", and "Zelda 2: The Adventures Of Link."

A side thriller plot could be fun, but it doesn't matter in the end, if its going to be like play thriller based games.

Zelda games need the clueless-uncertain-search level of gameplay from the 1st Zelda, and the combat difficulty from Adventures Of Link.

If anyone (who had played all Zelda games) noticed, the more story there is in a Zelda, the more linear and mindless direct it gets.

Zelda is not about story, its about an adventure of your own. That's where Nintendo has failed with these last Zelda, because of story factors overtaking the variety gameplay core. And that's thanks to the kids that started Zelda at Ocarina. They have no idea, what a great game Zelda was, before all that.
