1.1 - nintendo should grow up jus a bit....
In one particular scene, Admiral Dane says, “Damn! They’re targeting the planetary-defense system.” Yet Nintendo felt compelled to censor “damn” for the re-release of Corruption in Metroid Prime Trilogy. When playing through the game on the Trilogy disc, the sentence can now be seen/heard as “No! They’re targeting the planetary-defense system.”

n ya still totally worth playing

Althought it's nothing big I can't believe someone would go to the effort of taking something that small out of a game because it 'might' not be as nice to 'some' people 'maybe'

But after the LBP sony thing no one can be too carefull.

This reminds me of

4 - This is just ridiculous
There are movies rated G that have the word "damn" in it, multiple times even. Are they worried that the 4-year-olds that play this will be scared from the "harsh language"? I mean they're shooting aliens for goodness sake! The series is rated T for teen, too! I'm pretty sure most teenagers say "damn", and even if they don't, they're definitley mature enough to handle a word this small.

7 - How is this news worthy?
I don't understand why nintendo did this it's not 1939 anymore and Gone with the wind wasn't censored. It's not like they have to big slabs of game so they can pass the censors. (unlike just about every Rockstar game)
It just seems like a precautionary act, and a rather pathetic one at that.

That's so gay. They did that with Legend of Zelda Master Quest on Gamecube. At the end when Link is slashing away at Ganon, it was green blood, when it was on N64, it was red blood. What was once a totally savage act became muted thanks to Nintendo's child like testicles.

Pointless (and kinda dumb) to change the word? Yes.

Will it stop me from buying the trilogy? No.

14 - It's just one word.
It's not like the gameplay has changed. Get over it.

Now we see the real reason why Nintendo of America is not bring Disaster: Day of Crises, which have some curse words, and Fatal Frame, which is a horror title. Nintendo is too worried in maintaining a spotless image to the family customers.
