IGN Au: "If Wii Sports Resort was to take over from Wii Sports as the pack-in title with the console, it would serve its purpose well. For the time being, however, it's not, so the questions are: is this game worth paying for, and will we come back to it? The answer to both those questions is 'no'. For Wii Sports diehards, Wii Sports Resort will be worth a look, but for the rest of us – especially those who've thrashed Bowling to death already, this is a patchy offering more notable for its missed opportunities than its successes."

Some other reviewer gave it a 9.4;
Ratings are stupid. They don't mean anything. You can not convert your opinion into a number. At one time they give a game a 10 for visuals, while a different game looks exactly alike and gets an 8.

And people go apesh/t over them.

too me this is a very local multi focused game although it apparently also has a great single player mode as well. not sure if online is that important in a game like this, but its essential for some people i suppose

I want to see what kind of reviews/feedback the us version receives. I have 4 nieces/nephews in the house under the age of 10, and they love this stuff, so I'm keeping an eye on it.

Their favorite Wii game thus far? Mario Kart Wii and then Punch Out, followed closely by the Cow/Bull racing game on Wii Play.

I'm very hyped for this magical looking game

It looks like a full product with bags of charm and great gameplay

I'll love this as much as Halo no doubt(in a different way of course) based on how much fun the first one was - and Wii Resort does pack quite a bit more to it this time

This is typical Nintendo doing what they do best
