Nintendo replacing buggy Zelda discs

If you've been suffering from the dreaded "Cannon Room" bug in Twilight Princess on the Wii, Nintendo will replace your copy of the game on request.

Did the Gamecube version have the same fault?
I fit did then thats a bit crap on Nintendos part, first they only do a limited print of it and then wont replace it because of there fcuk up.
