CoD movie will likely just mimic the scenario in the game but who'll be the weightless, emotionless, speechless main character? even if they try hard, it will be just another war movie! it's better a game thus it being popular but being a movie? I don't think so!

ah yes, developed by treyarch as they're probably sitting around in meetings all day wondering what period of time they should release their next cod. seeing as how IW has modern weapons locked down.

it would be a perfect fit for them. a crappy game for a crappy movie.

I imagine they're probably going with a vietnam next. Then after Mw3, they're probably going the "near-future" route. with weapons that look semi-futuristic but still fire bullets. Wait a minute this seems familiar.......oh wait

battlefield 1942 (ww2)
battlefield vietnam (self-explanatory)
battlefield 2 (modern)
battlefield 2142 (near-futuristic)

end of the line after 2142. DICE has been playin around with new game engines since then.

interesting I buy games to play them not to go "OOOOOOOOOOH" and "AHHHHHHH" over cinematics...cs, battlefield 2, left 4 dead, TF2, Unreal, have all proved that storylines and cinematics mean jack in gaming as long as the gameplay is fun.

Though this is from the opinion of a pc gamer. Your average pc gamer doesn't care too much about single player games. However this only goes to explain how many gamers are different.

For instance. I have a ps2 but didn't care enough to play mgs2 or 3. any gran turismo after 2 or god of war. My brother has both a 360 and ps3 but I don't think I've asked him to pop in uncharted, heavenly sword or mgs4. And I've seen resistance for about an hour.....Doesn't look bad but looks so friggin dull. He does have Halo 3 but I've never bothered trying to play it. I think the only game I've had fun in so far on a console was gears of war's Coop campaign. Gears 2 didn't have the same impact as 1 did so we stopped at the part where you get shot underground in those tube thingies.

And yes I'm probably going to skip allan wake also unless I'm extremely bored.

See, now a MGS movie is pointless to me because the games themselves are so much like movies that all it would do is tell the story in with live action.
