I think a bit more 3d involved is a good idea but not if it compromises the quality of the gameplay. I'd also like full animations for moves and Pokémon.

I think being able to command your Pokémon by voice would be nice but might be a little hard to implement.

A Customisable trainer would be nice as well.

Voice commands would be awesome, but they'd have to really nail it to get it right. Imagine trying to order the right Pokemon in or command an attack, it would take too long and be very hit and miss.

I think the main problem would be the amount of memory it takes up to be honest you'd need files for every Pokémon and every move and so it could be more like the show:

"Pikachu Thunderbolt!!"

You'd look like a weirdo in public though.

This isn't a comment to bash Nintendo at all so don't take this the wrong way.

The reason voice commands, better 3D and more 3D won't happen is because they really aren't doing Next Generation games. I mean Pokemon has been the same for about 13 Years and people buy them. There is not reason to please the few people who want updates when the majority will not ask for them. For those to happen it would take millions of people to force them to do it.

1.5 - On the WII
Ib would literally buy a Wii for a GOOD Pokemon game, one that REALLY caters to us "hardcore" fans.

I'll settle for another PS Monster Rancher game though, i guess...

MMO!!!

Think about it! An MMO Pokemon game would be killer! O_O

I don't see why they SHOULDN'T make it. It will bring in LOTS of profit. People will be hooked FOREVER like WoW.

Think about it. Trading. Player vs Player matches. Creating your own clans to rival Team Rocket, Team Magma, etc. Pokemon League. Fishing competitions. Safari Zone. I mean... there's SO much possibilities! >_<

It hasn't stopped Nintendo before with the amount of blowing into the microphone games. If I remember correctly there's a part in Phantom Hourglass where the game the makes fun of you for making a fool of yourself when you have to use the mic in a puzzle.

Yes it's not that it's anywhere near impossible but with 493 Pokémon and a couple of hundred moves I think it'd be quite memory intensive.

EDIT: Plus the majority of things that use the microphone(Mario Kart, Chocobo Tales) don't distinguish between the sounds, they just recognise it.

@Steven below: You are an absolute genius, get on the phone to Nintendo now. I wonder if a mature Pokémon game would have a strong enough brand to sell quite a bit, the novelty of it may attract sales too.

I've never played Pokemon. It seems intriguing, though. I wish they had a more grown up version of this game with blood and guts.

*EDIT* not just blood and guts, but more mature looking characters instead of cartoony looking creatures.

LOL Blood and guts doesnt make it grown up but i do admit I am alittle ashamed that I play. But whatever. I love the game. I have ever since Blue and Red.

Real time battles is what's going to make me come back to the Pokemon franchise. I'm tired of the same old boring turn based crap. I want to be able to MYSELF dodge an attack, do a side step, shoot a fireball at the enemy. Not just....chance. I want realtime fights dangit. Dip behind a boulder, hide in a bush, climb up a tree, and do a quick attack from it. These ideas would be awesome.

Because then I expect to see these features be put into the next game and feel disappointed, lol.

I agree with 8,7,5, and 2

But the other points I'm actually quite fine for what it is.

If they did something like Pokemon mixed with the scale of GTA (and maybe the freedom of GTA) that would be awesome. I always felt that the cities were too small lmao :P

13 - this blows
no blowing please, seems like a good idea, but no. i have to put my lips on my DS and blow into the mic, until i'm about to pass out, before the mic resisters i'm blowing into it.

i'd like to see, all touch, like in summon night 3, team rocket. i don't want some puss organization, like in the last few pkmn games were like, "i'm the bad guy", then the legendary appears then their like "i'm so sorry, me be good guy now." reminds me of mewtwo in the 1st movie >_>
and Full Character Customization, also please make me able to get event pkmn without having to buy an air plain ticket to fly to new york, just to get a pkmn too.

14 - pokemon wii.
I would like a cartoon/cellshaded pokemon wii version of red and blue, done in a similar styling to the new punchout game.

you actually throw your pokemon into battle via the motion control.

You use the motion control for throwing out potions, pokeballs, cutting grass etc.

Certain attacks provide cut-scenes with a rte to do extra damage.

Trading pokemon between the 2 version could be done via friendcodes online, battles the same thing.

I know it will never happen.

Honestly, only thing I want to see is being able to go to all regions. Gold/Silver is still my favorite since you can go to Kanto after you were done with Johto. I want to see a Pokemon with all regions and tons of Pokemon.

Oh god, please don't implement movement controlled via the touch-screen & stylus. I found the controls in PH terrible, and couldn't stand playing the game. It's just not comfortable, and the stylus covers the screen. It's just such a gimmick and a hassle. I want to use the D-pad. So in addition, those "interactive battles" the guy suggests is also a terrible idea.

STOP MAKING NEW POKEMON. Seriously, I don't even know the names of half of them anymore. After Jotho, I think it was good enough. But of course, they'll keep adding them in until the end of the World >.>

How about a game that includes all of the different types of pokemon to collect, so we don't need to import them, or can atleast import them early in the game and use them to play as throughout the story, instead of only having that option when the story is finished.

Also, how about the pokemon actually say their names and whatnot when they attack, instead of make stupid sounds that were in the game 13 years ago.

20 - He makes a good point
The only point I disagree with is when he says there not trying at making new pokemon. I think the new Pokemon are cool and they did a good job of integrating new ideas and strategies from them.

Just imagine using your own attacks to counter an enemy's attack (ala the tv show) You could use a charged punch into the ground to use as a sheild.
