Maybe it was to advertise the game to people on xbox live? If it was an exclusive I highly doubt MS would pass up the chance to slap "Only on Xbox 360" at the end of the trailer. Plus if they didn't pony up the dough for Dead Rising (which I and most others think is a better franchise) I don't think they would spend the money on Lost Planet.

what developer would send an exclusive content to a platform it isnt coming out on? if they sent it to ps3center, then obviously its a multiplatform...the only reason they are advertising on 360 is because of same crap with RE5...i wouldnt be suprised if 360 got a lil bit of extra content

Well, this is what I think. Why would Capcom port the first Lost Planet to the PS3 if they had no intention of bringing the second game to the PS3?. If Dead Rising is now multiplatform, I see absolutely no reason why Lost Planet 2 will be exclusive.

The Xbox 360 version may be getting Exclusive DLC, maybe the demo will be released first on XBL, or maybe it will be a timed exclusive, whatever the case may be, I'm pretty sure Lost Planet 2 will be multiplatform, and in addition to that, Sony and Capcom have a pretty good relationship.

But if for some reason Lost Planet 2 is exclusive, I sure wont be loosing any sleep over it.

Lost Planet sucked IMO....online was sorta cool...but the game was mediocre at best..

but as was said by AclayPS3.....why would they port the original game tot he PS3 if they intended to keep it 360 exclusive,...??

The first one was a damn good game and it was underrated. I can't wait for the second one!!! Multi-platform or not, it looks amazing.

I thought for a second the initial scene was CGI, but to my suprise it wasnt!!!

Hoping this will come out in 2009! SF IV and Lost Planet 2 in one year? Gotta love Capcom.

that doesn't mean any trouble was there, it only means that not all of the trailer was in game

probably 80% of the trailers that come out aren't all in game, its clear that portions of this are kinematics and CG so of course its not in game

you can tell what is clearly in game and it looks pretty good if you ask me

if they are having so much trouble getting it to work on 360 then they will have a heck of a time on ps3, a 360 is basically a pc with a universal set of requirements when it comes to developing

microsofts directX SDK is probably one of the easiest paths to game development there is

whereas sony and their multicored cell are much more difficult to develop for and requires a whole other level of technicality when it comes to programming

i'd really like to know where you come up with this stuff, really

Got to agree. While this has already been mentioned by people at Capcom as being a true multi plat~(PS360PC)and I don't see that changing, not after the first game AND now DR2 made the jump to PS3 I too believe that MS will have some announcements concerning exclusioves at E3. There'll also be the usual "surprise" or two(Kingdom Hearts going to 360 as either a multi or even exclusive could be the type of thing I mean like with FF13 last year but with Nomura still on FF13vs I canh't see that one going tbh)as it's MS policy to keep their powder dry much longer than Sony.
However, I doubt that Sony and Nintendo won't also have a couple of big announcements themselves at the bigger E3 this year. Sony have made no noises about things we all assume are coming from studios we KNOW are working on projects(like R&C at Insomniac and Warhawk2 at Incognito-there's a choice of a few tbh). Nintendo also have some stuff up their sleeves and I expect a big Zelda(by Xmas, imo) and F-Zero showing this year but there could, finally, be news of the likes of Kid Icarus and as Capcom have shown the Wii very scant love(don't even mention DR:CTYD sheesh!)since UC and RE4 I can also see something in the way of, perhaps , a Resi side story or something totally non canon from them.
360? Obviously we're looking for news on the elusive Huxley and AW projectsa too while there's all the talk pof the secret reveals Sony have made to gagged journalists so things should be exciting for you whatever you own or whatever you love at this years E3 and GDC. It's a good time to be a gamer-if the recession don't kill you first!

i am not saying this year will be the same, but at the same time you guys should not be so quick to assume that its going to be different.

i own both systems, but to be fair you guys have been saying that from just about the time the ps3 launched.

the big difference this year is ya you got killzone 2 ( and it looks great by the way, can't wait to get it this friday ) but then last year you had Resistance 2...and that was meant to do this and do that.. well it didn't do jack.

so ya, enjoy what you got coming this year.. i personally would hold off all the smack talking till the end of the year when everything is out there to see.

i dont care about this game either, but what I do care about is the engine that powers it. they have recently upgraded their Proprietary engine to 2.0. Im expecting alot of changes out of this engine. One such change is making PS3 development on that thing easier for the Capcom Devs. another change is making sure that the game is %100 equal on all 3 platforms.

I want to see games like the next DMC or the next Megaman to be powered by this engine.

As I said before, I dont care about this game, I care about the engine. and of course to shut your trap about whether or not its exclusive to the 360. We are currently in a Recession. you see, in a recession, there is money thats being lost all over the place. so for the gaming industry to stay alive in a Recession, they have to bring a game to every single platform and profit from it. that's why capcom will never go exclusive this gen. The only thing that's exclusive these days is DLC, and that is something half the world doesn't care about.

There are more games that interest me more than LP when it comes to capcom games, like Dead Rising 2, the next DMC or the next Onimusha. If the Co-Op is good, then I dont mind picking it up.

Edit: People disagree with you, because you are an idiot fanboy. The only reason why LP2 will be superior on the 360 is because of DLC, That is all. The Technical aspects of the game will be %100 identical on both platforms. MT Framework has been updated, and because of that, there is more PS3 tools and support than ever on that engine, making it easier and simple for Capcom devs to push and optimize the PS3's Hardware even more now than ever before.

Imo the port wasn't received well based on 2 primary reasons: the game is average, and that it is not ported to the ps3 until much later.

If LP2 is released simultaneously on the 2 systems, I am sure the attachment ratio will be somewhat equal.
