Wii Fit could be out of stock this month

Nintendo is expecting the nation's post-Christmas health push to drive sales of Wii Fit in January – but has told MCV that there may be stock shortages during the month.

The title, which comes with the Wii Balance Board, secured the No. 10 spot in the ChartTrack/ELSPA Christmas top ten chart last month, but slipped to No. 20 in this week's All Formats list. It currently sits at No. 3 in the dedicated UK Wii chart.

Is this really all that new? Walking into target a few days ago a lady was really badgering a clerk in the gaming department about Wii Fit. She wanted him to call other stories, figure out the shipping date and check the back just to make sure that they didn't have any in stock. Sad thing is my friend's mother who has it doesn't even really play it anymore, I suspect the same will happen with that lady.

My friend's fat wife has one. If it is being used, it isn't working.

Eh, it's still out of stock where I am. My copy is rotting away up in my brother's dorm room (Even though I could really stand to use it) and the balance board hasn't seen use either.

Too many other, more important games to play instead.

The Wii fit not in stock thats nothing new, I'd hate to be the kid who works at the store getting that question every 5 minutes "Do you have any Wii fits in?"

stupid uninformed people that think Wii-Fit gets you fit.

Doing sports and eating healthy gets you fit, not a gimick board that prints money due to idiots that buy it

It would help for you to actually use Wii fit and se ewhat it does.. Not just assume that because other fanboys say it doesnt work must means it is true. Exercise gets your healthy? Wow really.. Thats exactly what Wii fit has you do... I guess those uninfirmed people have a new leader since you seem to be the most clueless of all. Why is going for a run more effective if I dont use Wii fit? I can pop my wii mote in my pocket and go for a jog while inside. How is that not working please Mr. I know everything about exercise? LMAO.. You're probably 450 lbs with Cheetos all over your face and keyboard telling others online what works and what doesnt.

No I dont own Wii fit but I have seen many people use it and run out of breath and sweating when done.It works for what it was intended.

"right on this site some univeristy ran some tests and said wii fit is a gimick."

Lmao "N4G told me it was a gimmick"

I, too, have used the Wiifit, and although some of the exercises and balance games are pointless, there's a great number that make you sweat, work hard, and sweat more. You just need to be able to pick out the obvious exercises that are good.

But with some people here lacking original thought, I can see how that could be a problem.
