1 - Interesting
After a delay, they announce this good news. Still not sure if I'll be picking this up or not.
What's everyone else think?

2 - keyword: most.
I'm still cautious about this - ya, its good news, but they had to throw in that relative "most" word. We'll have to wait and see

2.1 - Good point
Good point. And its over a period of several months it says, which is not unusual I guess, but still when the other consoles already have them all available...

Any Wii owner that supports Rock Band is hurting their console more than help it. I for one will pass on any rock band until we get it day and date of the other versions.Til then I am more than happy to give my money to GH who doesnt treat Wii owners like second class citizens. Only reason RB2 wasnt released for Wii on date was so they could get more sales for their track packs.

3.2 - You're not alone
Seems like a lot of people hold this opinion. Does anyone see any valid reasons why they couldn't release at the same time?

I agree, I would prefer GH because they treat Wii owners as equals to other console owners, rather than giving all of the exclusive content and earlier release dates to others (which isn't exactly what they're doing)
Besides, I like GHWT's track list a lot better. Quality vs. Quantity.

Yeah, 500 songs, on SD cards, wonder what Nintendo thinks of that solution now?

4.2 - Re-download?
I absolutely hated Nintendo's vision of a re-download service. At some point they finally had to realize that we hated having to delete WiiWare and VC games in order to download others.
Even 2-4 gigs of extra space won't last me very long. I wonder how big these downloadable songs will be?

4 gigs wouldnt last you??? WTH man 2 gigs would hold every Wii ware and VC game out right now with room to spare.. Do you even own a Wii or are you just assuming that based off of PSN/Xbox live requirements??Songs are usually 5-6mb of space. GHWT tracks shouldnt be much bigger. let's say 10mb a song. 200 songs is 2 gigs.

5 - Wii's never gonna get as much support
The hardware hampers its potential for music games. I doubt it's an ideal experience.

5.1 - Wii Music
Think that's why Nintendo took the approach they did with Wii Music? Trying to take a unique direction that would be better suited towards their hardware's benefits?

Theres no way the Wii hampers the experience. If anything, it gives the people wireless controllers for less *shrug*
