Report: Boom Blox 2 in the Works

SnagWire: EA has shut down its mysterious Blueprint Division though not the projects that were being worked on.

One of these 'projects' that will be allocated elsewhere is the previously unannounced Boom Blox 2.

Apparently, work is already underway on the sequel to the spring's innovative Wii puzzle game that received critical acclaim and generated decent revenue after being briefly considered a sales flop.

HELL YES! Instabuy! Hope there's more multiplayer options this time. The last game had a TON, but it still did not satisfy my hunger, haha.

This is the second "flop" to garner a sequel, No more Heroes the first. But seriously both those games were very good and this proves both made a nice profit for their respective companies. Wii sells third party software? who knew.

Boom Blox's over 450,000 in sales (450,000 is from launch until July 29th's figures) is a flop? Wow, I never knew.

I see my attempt at sarcasm went over some folks' heads. I was actually meaning that both games were NOT flops, and just pointing out how fanboys like to use those games to prove some falsehood about Wii not selling 3rd party software. Sarcasm is not easy to convey in words I guess.

I was referring to the fact that, in the article, it said that they were originally considered flops. In response to your post was just a perfect opportunity to make my post.

It's a solid game if you only own the Wii. The physics isn't very realistic in the game.

But the physics are written very clean...would that change your mind?
And stop with the nonsense that "only if you own a Wii" there are people here who actually own more consoles than only the Wii and they liked it.

Seriously, you just had to point out something negative...
And i see no problem with the physics, i liked it so don't make assumptions that people won't think its "solid" because the physics aren't real world physics....according to you that is.

Excellent. Now if only Capcom would just do the right thing and greenlight another Zack and Wiki game...
