It's true, we've totally seen the soulless side of Nintendo when they smell blood and think they can make some cash. My instinct says that if they get the chance to corral consumers into buying three products instead of one, they will.

That's true, here at the local gamestop they have a HUGE sign announcing that they are stocked up the arse with Wii's. Though I can't say the same for the target, best buy, toys r us and circuit city. I wonder if GameStop pulled a deal with Nintendo since they seem to be the only ones that have a butt load of wiis in stock in my area.

I went to GameStop yesterday and I thought it was hilarious that each time the employees answered the phone, they were adding that they had Wiis in stock until I overheard the manager telling them they didn't have ANY in that day. =/

But it's only one box! Saves packaging materials! Nintendo hearts the environment!
What's that, you say? Greenpeace says Nintendo is the least environmentally friendly of all the console manufacturers?
Oh.

I hope this terms out to be something aimed at the convenience of people who would want all three items in one go as opposed to pushing customers into buying it. That would be just...slimy.

Nintendo putting a motion sensor on the Gamecube could hardly be labeled innovation. Motion sensors have been around for a long long time.

Nintendo's best games are mostly played without the motion controls... case and point Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Yah, I know what you're talking about. It's almost like Nintendo misadvertised their product because the only motion-controls is waggle, wiggle, shake, thrust. No 1:1 movement whatsoever -which is what the whole world thought at first. I was sorely disappointed with Twilight Princess, but still liked it.

12 - Where's the incentive?
Where is the incentive Nintendo? I mean offer me a deal and make me want to buy this! If I purchase al these items separately I save a whole 2 cents! That means this bundle is technically overpriced. At least we had an incentive for buying wii play.... I bought it because I needed another wii-mote and when it came out it was only 10 more dollars than a wiimote by itself. Meaning that I got the game for 10 bucks. Looking back on it, that game was only worth about 10 bucks, but in the early days of me getting my wii it was definately an incentive when I needed another controller and wanted to build up my game collection!

This is just a guess but could it be that they anticipated more broken controllers than actually occurred and so are left with a surplus to sell?

Geez man, that's REALLY giving Nintendo the benefit of the doubt. So basically the headlines according to you should be "Nintendo's Superior Engineering Process Saves Them and Consumers Millions!"
