World of Goo beats out Zelda and Gears of War

Metacritic.com takes the review scores from over 30 different websites and work out an average score, to get above 90 on Metacritic is a real achievement, which makes it all the more surprising when the previously unheard of 'World of Goo' for Wiiware is ranked as the 2nd best Wii game to date...

Like I said in open zone. This article lies. Once world of poo gets 30+ reviews I highly doubt this short little game will even be close.

4.2 - I noticed the same thing.
The article fails and is full of lies. Sorry, but this is just one of those moments where I feel compelled to hit the reject article button.

Sure it's a fun game but the article is a bit misleading.

"This article lies."

Do you even know what a lie *is*? It's a statement which is factually untrue.

"According to Metacritic the previously unheard of 'World of Goo' for Wiiware is ranked as the 2nd best Wii game to date."

Which is -- currently anyway -- the truth. According to the metacritic rating system, World of Goo is ranked second.

You can argue that basing something off of X number of reviews isn't quite sound, but that's an issue with Metacritic and to a larger extent Game ratings websites overall -- all of which are trivial in the larger sense. Oh no! Based off of a bunch of reviews, game Y has a .1 higher rating than Game Z! What an accomplishment!

"Once world of poo gets 30+ reviews I highly doubt this short little game will even be close."

So, you think it's just a major coincidence that pretty much everyone who've actually played the game are throwing around words like "absolutely phenomenal", "incredible", "brilliant", and all manner of superlatives to describe it?

5 - Yeah i got it for pc
well worth the money. Great puzzler with a comic side.

Only thing flawed is there is no in game options (resolution, volume, etc...). It wouldn't be a problem, but i have a widescreen flatpanel lcd moniter, which doesn't scale well. A little config editing and the resolution is fixed and still looks good, and it is 16:10 :D

short, sweet, and reply is very high.

World of Goo is the best indie game ever made...period.

All the haters, how does it feel to know that, odds are, you will probably never achieve such a creative feat in your entire life?

It deserves every bit of praise it is receiving in that TWO people made this game and it's better than most games made by teams of hundreds.
