The problem is every one is a gamer. The people here just do not see that. The people making these games do all types of art and see them selves as artist and forcing them to only make certain types of games will kill the industry. It has already happened to PC gaming.

Technical I understand you guys want the best for gaming but leave that up to other people. Remember UT never was bigger than any other FPS no matter what epic may say. Yet nothing stopped them from making it. HD gaming will always be here as will 2d gaming and the non game.

Just let them be. The problem is you know only what is best for your self but you can not comprehend what is best for the creators in this industry.

dont mean to seem like a fonboy but i have 3 friends that are still trying to find a wii but cant (lol yes i have more then 3 friends), and gamestop and gaming generations both got inventory of them a week ago. :P and gamestop has had 2 ps3's sitting on their top shelf for like a month, and walmart had their ps3 in the shelves for like a week idk maybe its still there i havnt gone, but walmart never has any Wii's so idk maybe its just were you live.. :P but i must say Wii Music looks like BS true it does, but i dont quite understand the gameplay, and maybe more people would have went if the advertised it more? because i never heard of it until now.. and i would have gone just to see how you actually play it.

and one more thing about sales kinda :P Warning this may also seem fanboy! I cant beleive no one has been taking into accoutn the upcoming world depression.. i mean with wall street going down then those banks closing in france and other worldy problems, i dont see how people arnt talking about how that will effect sales.. i mean the ps3 NEEDS a price drop or it is going to get beat really bad, but the 360, and Wii will get hit by it just not as bad because their prices are so much lower. Also if we happen to not be able to stop this worldly depression we may loose our favorite companys during it like Nintendo Microsoft and Sony, i mean from how sales are looking now its really doubtfull, but it looks like things may get pretty bad so who knows..

Not just that, Developers will be forced to go lower with their budgets because everything is crashing.
It all looks so happy and normal but in reality it can become a danger for lots of developers. It won't be as easy to put millions into a project now the economy is going bad.

That's true but fortunately so many amazing games have just come out and are coming out this month and next for the PS3 and 360 that there is no way I'm going to be able to get through all of them as it is. If there is a drought there'll be plenty of games to keep me content for a long time.

this means even more bad news for ps3 because it costs more to make their games, alot more... we might even see this effect the 360, so it will have less games also, i think we might see more games comming on wii more then any other console just because its the cheapest to make games for, and the wii even already has alot of good games coming mostly in 2009 but also in this holiday season, but dont get me wrong the other consoles do to its just that its bigger news for Wii considering it has been in like a software slump...

I hadn't played mine in months, until I picked up de Blob, Wario Land, and downloaded World of Goo.

Sadly, those are the only games I'll be playing on it until the end of the year (Except for Symphonia later on), but hey, at least I have a PC and 360.

Braid and Bionic Commando I have finished and they were probably worth the money. Try the demos.

Wario Land I haven't got into far enough to give a good recommendation. I also got de Blob and it for $75 total (CC had buy 1, get 1 half off), and I probably wouldn't have payed the full $50 for Wario.

This is funny I expected more haters to turn out for this news. I just don't understand what you guys have against other people having fun.

Video games where created for every one and they crashed because of every one during the 80s. Nintendo made this game for people that would like the game period they have already sold crazy amounts of games. This was not a fan pleasing game. To think that they had to take people away from the other teams to make this game is silly also. They have a team just for making this stuff.

Try not to be selfish guys. Let people have their fun. Let nintendo make what they want to. There are tons of people that wanted to make what ever they wanted to make but they have to slave away at the next FPS that the core wants. People are getting burnt out and they will leave the industry to make movies since lots of them started there anyway.

Imagine if LBP does not sell... Imagine if only the hyped AAA games only sold? Seriously every one even my self was unsure if the Wii would work and it takes balls and a plan B to make it work. There are people that will like this game so let them have their game.

Every one wants to be able to do a Wii music but it's gamers like you guys that keep it from happening. Don't kill the creativity with in video games because then there will be no way in hell that any one will see this as art then.

A similar thing has happened in comics don't let elitism kill gaming creativity. The more people act like A$$hats the more people will leave.
